I'm with Soappie; there's decluttering and then there's :eek::eek: Keep a selection in an album, and next year if you still want to get rid of them all, do so
DS's school is open tomorrowHe's gone to install Guitar Hero for some friends (who are blessed with 3 daughters and no Geeky Boys  ) so I'll break this to him once he's home  shame really, as snow is a memory to savour
We have lots of snow, still, but it;'s an easy walk to school for him. DD and I will bake him a cake for once he's home.
DH has laid a fire, so we're having another family DVD night :T and I'll decutter my recipe folder while I watch
See you all tomorrow

Kids are off school tomorrow so will need to plan my flying accordingly.
Not feeling myself this evening and I'm tired thanks to QV so think I'll have an early night.
DW on and washing up done.
Masses of play doh stuff sorted for ebay/carboot or freecyle
Hope DH gets home in time to put DS3 shelves up tonight. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
I have done some washing, washed up, cooked a huge amount of yummy stir fry and portioned it up, washed up again, S & S the kitchen, taken some snow photos, and made the 2nd round of phone calls to let people know school is closed again tomorrow!
We had more snow for a few hours this morning and, although it's beginning to melt, it was the most snow I have ever personally seen (I think we had about 5 or 6 inches altogether). Work has over a foot of snow!
No sign of the postman, or the refuse or recycling lorries today. Paper boy got here though - bless himtoottifrootti wrote: »froddy hope you are finding the counselling a benefit - I have sent you 2 packages of the usual stuff which probably wont go through the letter box so if you get a non-delivery card then you know its nothing important.
That sounds quite dodgyJust wanted to say that it's not! The wonderful Toots sends things that the local hospice recycles to raise money :A :A

Well, I washed and tumble dried the mouldy curtains.
Good News - they survived!
Bad News - They shrunk about 4 inches. However they were too long beofre and didn't hang as they are in a bay window with a wide sill and now they just clear it. Also they will get longer as they settle. OH "helpfully" watched me hang them then said "aren't you supposed to iron them first?" Cheeky git, he knows I don't iron anything anyway and I am certainly not struggling with an ironing board and curtains in my condition (everyone keeps telling me I'm huge and I stupidly weighed myself earlier - it seems they are right!)
The mould is still visible on the curtains but hopefully the spores have been killed by the heat in the WM. Won't last long though as there is so much more mould on the window frames. Every little helps though.June Grocery Challenge £493.33/£500 July £/£500

I am so not chilled!!
Moomin is very uncharacteristically being an absolute little s-hit.. I will confess to giving her a slap but after 45 minutes of constant screaming it appears to have done the job.. or it could have been the threat of letting her sleep in the shed tonight with the spiders... or maybe me just threatening to rip her limb from limb and leave her out for the carrion eaters.. her DS is mine for the foreseeable future.. I also told Tiddles I'd poke her in the eye if I saw them open again... I have just got to the very very end of my tether with their poor behaviour at bedtime.
Then DD1 (15 and little) asks if she can walk her friend (16 and a heifer) to the bus stop at the end of the street.. it is freezing, thick ice and I think I was quite justified in saying no.. I did ask who was going to walk DD1 back from the bus stop.. Yes, I was being a tad unreasonable.. I wouldn't think twice about walking down here at 2 and 3 and 5am on my own.. and I have on numerous occasions.. but there you go!
Flying can go to hell for a week.. in my house anyway.. you lot still have to do itso there!!
I really shouldn't slap children my hand hurts now..
And, after 2 days of rebel rousing at school.. they have changed the 'drop off' policy and it is moronic.. and too boring to explain.. so I am actively encouraging parents to contact the governors to complain.. governors.. like me for example..I can then take it to the next meeting should the stupid head not have seen sense by then
OH consoling DD1 downstairs while making a cuppa.. or he better be making a cuppa. It was the anniversary of her friends suicide yesterday or the day before so she's not 100% anyway so now she will be heartbroken and wishing she was never born. She is also off to KH's Friday so she can go spend his money Saturday.. funny how he only wants her and Moomin.. he barely even speaks to the boys.
From a flying front..
I decluttered my dinner..
I also need to declutter the dirt from my person as I have an appointment at 9:30 in the morning so won't have time then.
Off to stick cocktail sticks in the cat..
ETA.. and while I'm on it.. DD2 has managed to lock the sim on her new mobile and I have no idea how to input the PUK code.. and I can't ring O2 to ask because MY phone is not registered with them but through carphone warehouse.. and it just cuts me off whatever number I ring.. it is totally infuriating! so, until I feel calmer she can be wihtout her phone.. punishment for being a twit!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Poohbear59 - I agree, you should keep the cards. My mum made each of my children a box when they were born and into it went birth cards, school photos and other little bits etc. They love looking thru them as a special treat when they are ill! I love looking through my mum's wedding cards and my birth cards - Mum keeps them all with the photos. If you must, they make great firelighters. Birthday cards go that way in our house eventually and wrapping paper too (great coloured flames!).
Monday DONE
Tuesday DONE - boots and shoes now in basket on floor, at least it looks neater.
Wednesday DONE - easy, was mostly tidy from weekend outlaw visit.
No extras - I'm not superwoman! However 13 bags in car for charity - whoop! Girls made good enough job of their room for me to hoover it and OH put all the Crimbo stuff back into the loft. Hoping everyone off again tomorrow here, I seem to work better when the house is humming with activity.0 -

Well my kitchen looks immaculate, I have sorted out all the thing I don't use (have 2 stick blenders for example!) and put them in a box to store for when DD leaves home then I cooked tea loaded the DW and now I have made my packed lunch, sorted out my clothes for tomorrow and I am just waiting for the Head to phone to confirm that we will be open tomorrow, then I shall start to ring down my contact list and let everyone know, then I will TRY to get onto the school website to let everyone else know! (Hopefully it wont take me 'til 2.30 am like it did yesterday)Go hopefully into each new day, enjoy something from every day no matter how small, you never know when it will be your last0
