Hey Soolin, you okay??? That seems a bit of a nippy response tbh
Seems OP has offered refund, he's explained he's getting numerous very rude emails (which he shouldn't have to put up with) which is why he isn't keeping the comms open any longer..
The seller only offered a refund after a claim was opened in between quoting RM at them which has nothing to do with the buyer (That will immediatly get a Neg off the majority of buyers). They could get suspended or near on there first offense depending on there DSRs > Since DSRs have come a poor showing there can effect you massivly0 -

OP you shouldn't be suspended if first offence.
Under th enew rules it is nothing to do with first offence, it is all to do with seller metrics now. If seller is big enough then a set of 1 or 2 * won't matter nor will the neg.A small seller can get into difficulties horribly easily with just one problem buyer.
Whislt the buyer may be aggresive I think this bit from the OP shows why I consider a neg would be justified in this case:I replied each time very politely eventually explaining that RM would not consider item lost until 15 days after expected date of arrival (which is approx 6th Jan). Also sent link to RM website to corroborate info, and offered full refund on 6th Jan if item not rcvd by this date.
Anyway, 23rd Dec, buyer starts item not rcvd dispute. I ignored. This evening, further unpleasant email rcvd. I have ignored. Dispute not yet been escalated to claim, he has till 12th Jan to do so.
So seller quotes RM regs at buyer which has nothing to do with buyer and then ignores buyer when they contact him through paypal.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. OP says that you offered him a refund on the 6th December as per RM rules, yet he opened the dispute on 23rd December which is before 6th Jan.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Er no, if you read the first post, it says I offered him a full and immediate refund on 6th Jan if his item hasn't arrived by then.:rolleyes:0 -
OK I missed that one but you Offered one on the 6th January!! then you ignored the buyer when they opened a dispute as I said above a well deserved Neg
No offence, but I don't think I'll take too much notice of either you or Soolin as clearly neither of you have bothered to even read my first post properly.
Thanks again to ceebeeby, and I'm off.0 -
Very surprised by soolin's spikey responses. I don't see that the OP has done a lot wrong.0

I think that the 15 day RM rule is nothing to do with the buyer but as you have pointed out you are not asking for opinions on this.
If you want to know how this transaction will impact your account I think you will need to provide extra information, your DSR's and how many items you sell on average etc.0 -

Well unless im reading this wrong the op has offered a refund but not until the 6th of jan but the dispute was opened on the 23rd of December so the item must of been brought a few days before that at the very least.
Now I dunno about you but if I had to wait that long for a refund regardless of the cost I would also be leaving a big fat neg and 1 stars.
Apologies if I have read it wrong but that's how I read it.0
