I had the same thing happen to me.If you order on the small business site you lose all your rights as a consumer. So the distance selling regulations do not apply.I placed an order one weekend, then realised it wasn't quite what I needed and as their phonelines weren't open at the weekend it was Monday before I could speak to someone to try to cancel.I was lucky that the first person I spoke to didn't realise I couldn't cancel and agreed to cancel and refund.
When I chased my refund I was told I wasn't entitled to cancel as it was a business order.I told them I had already been advised that I would be refunded and the money had been spent elsewhere because of that.Presumably they also had a record of what I'd been advised and eventually they agreed to cancel the order and refund me.The palava didn't end there as they still tried to deliver the order TWICE and I had to refuse delivery and wait untill the system was returned back to them before I got my refund >:( I'm still looking to get a new PC but I'm not sure if the saving you get on the business site is worth losing your consumer rights for :-/
p.s anybody know any discount codes for Dell?0 -
The scripts are copywrite its entirely up to the authors what they do with them.
Copywrite? ??? dont make laugh, what on earth makes you think that?Val0 -

Why would that make you laugh? (Strange sense of humour)0 -
I can't recall having ever posted details of something I had bought. What's the point? ???
Here is the point, Oggy aint it?
Case of bad memory?
'Got a 2400 2.4, 256, CDRW, XP Pro today for £160.13 delivered. Not the best spec in the world but OK for the price!'
Not only once but in relation to someone posting the spec of a lesser machine at a more expensive price...
'I got a better 2400 than that yesterday for £160'
And of course there is more!
'It would be rude not have this one at £173 delivered.' blah blah
Do you want more?
'Picked up a 2400 2.4, 256, 40GB for £170 this morning delivered. Should get around £250 on Flea Bay.
If only I could get around 20 of these a week....... '
Bored yet?
'It's mainly 2400s with the odd 4600 and 8300. IIRC, the last 8300 I sold I bought for £270 and sold for around £450 and it wasn't particularly a high spec. P4 2.6, 256RAM, 80GBHD, 64 or maybe 128 nVidia, or something like that'
Bored...I certinally am!
'Just got this for £198 delivered including Logitech Desktop of course! Not a huge bargain but should make a few bob on eBay, especially with the cordless desktop and digi camera'
Well for all your huffing and puffing about these amazing bargains in relation to the ones I have mentioned, I would quesiton what you 'know'0 -
i really cant believe how this has turned into a flame war ....iv been over to the other forum and they seem like a good bunch of guys ....
does anyone think some of the people on here shouting about not having scripts just want them so they can buy then sell an e bay ???? Hmmmmm i wonder
outlet guys i can only just appoligise for the attitude of some people here .... we're not all like thatTHESE ARE THE GOOD OLD DAYS ……
..…JUST WAIT AND SEE0 -
Why is it a flame war when a post comes up and people from the board question whats being said?
Especially when its dubious and some lies are included.
For the record I dont have any interest in selling on eBay and scripts......but wouldnt mind an answer from the good guy/si really cant believe how this has turned into a flame war ....iv been over to the other forum and they seem like a good bunch of guys ....

Hmmm, I had forgotten what I had posted gogsboy which isn't surprising as I sometime I can't remember what I did last week!!
Apologies. :-[
Thanks for your comments master_blaster.There is certainly no need for any flame war. Along with lots of others, I don't use a script and have done very well as have most people. Patience and Persistence is what is required at the Outlet and a sore F5 finger!! ;D
Age and Treachery will always overcome Youth and Ability!!
Please do not steal. The Government doesn't like competition!!0 -

Copyright doesn't even come into it, why would it ??? nobody is stealing their script, we are all talking about scripts in general and one poster is even making his own, so where is the copyright infringement there ??? ::)Val0 -
this thread is hilarious, its a 'class' war without the class lol
the haves with all of the benefits and high life are telling the have nots that their life is actually quite hellish .
they then go on to tell the 'have nots' that they are better off as they are .. .. and their place in society is for their own good ..
if anyone wants a lesson in double speak and revisit the logic of animal farm .. this thread is it ..in action in reality.
the fact is any script that levels the playing field is beneficial to all in this case, there are times when it wouldnt be but this isnt it.
i suppose if these guys were still in charge women would still be chained to the kitchen and ickle kids would be climbing chimneys because it was good for them.0 -
Well I would be quite happy to release my script for absolutely nothing but it doesn't work anymore. In the old days the best bargains would always have a black price only and "normal" systems would have a red price and a black price. My script would sit refreshing evey 10th of a second and would add every system with a black price to the basket bypassing the 5 system in basket rule. It would then preform trickery to keep the systems in the basket for a number of hours until I look at them.
Even running this script however, people on the same network were able to grab equally specced stuff by F5'ing.
You just have to be around at the right time and that lucky F5 can beat a script. Just ignore talk of a set drop time, they don't exist.0
