    Hi
I have been doing well so far eating heathily and not after 7 pm. However... my 21 year old son who eats like a horse microwaved some chips he subsequently did not want, he offered my 11 year old daughter who refused and so I had them on top of my pasta meal. Serious confliction with money saving new me and weight loss as I could not bear him throwing it out.

I know that feeling soooo well! Have a pasta bake in the freezer that I daren't even guess at the point value of but I will eat it at some point cos I couldn't waste the £1 it cost to make it:o! stupidity really considering I paid to join WW...

    Diet: A Horizon Guide

    Thursday 07 January
    9:00pm - 10:00pm
    BBC4
Another BBC4 doc about the postwar advent of processed food, and how even obesity epidemics haven't quite dislodged nutritionless synthetics from society's ailing bowel. This selection from the Horizon archive focuses on the scary health effects of white bread and meals on a tray, but it still has the familiar footage of crazy 1960s "food scientists", sitting around smoking while they propose making artificial eggs with intensively farmed pork. Merely watching how food used to be manufactured - and how a lot of it still is - will have you reaching for the organic prune juice in alarm.

    Hey up guys,

Kinda had an off the wagon day myself! We were given the day off work due to the snow so went on a very long walk and decided to have lunch out as a treat. Hardly ever eat out so thought it would be nice. I had a panini, salad and a couple of chips too. Have been very good for the rest of the day as had a jacket potato and some pasta 'n' sauce for tea and porridge for brekkie so hoping the long walk will have took some of the calories away!

Reckon I will be back at work tomorrow though and planning for a lunchtime run! Will see what the paths are like!

Am actually quite chuffed with myself as think that even though I went out and had a not so healthy lunch, the old me would have had a dessert and then come home and scoffed myself, e.g packet of biscuits with my cup of tea etc...so feeling good about the way I am taking this...this is for life and have to have a little treat here and there but then get right back on the wagon again! :)

Not going well here AT all!

snacking still on crap left over from Xmas but feel dreadful throwing it all away. with the snow I have hardly left the house.

I have to think of some thing to motivate me. I am so used to being fat (and now getting fatter) and feeling rubbish that I am not really sure I expect to get anywere? Comfort zones and like.

I am watching the Biggest loser and wow. I do love Bob. I don't like Joelle. sighs.

Come on Buffy, you can do this my friend......

What size clothes do you want to be? I have a pair of trousers that I just know I look fab in and havent been able to fit into them for quite a while, even when I lost all that weight last year (which I have put all back on) I didnt quite get into them without looking like an overstuffed cushion.

Do you want to have more energy to face the crap that you have to put up with on a daily basis? There must be something that you just want so badly that it will be worth putting in the extra effort.

    We CAN do this.......:kisses3:
But these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.

Buffy, youre ever so hard on yourself you know hun.

It's really difficult to make a start with a house full of goodies. I know I planned to give away/bin ours, but I didnt. We had a really good first day at the weekend, then ate the lot. But that's it, it's all gone now and me can make a start proper.

Get rid of the stuff you have, then make a fresh start with a clean slate :kisses3:

Spud I was just about to post something similar but including you too ! For one thing this awful weather is a double whammy - we can't get out so we eat cos we're bored and also we can't go shopping for food so we have to eat what's available - and that's what's left from Christmas. XX

Just weighed myself - 4lbs up since last Friday morning

Well it is last thing at night and my monthly visitor is due so I'm going to hang in there.

I'll also bring the scales downstairs so I can't get weighed so often and also weigh in once weekly only on a Friday morning

Thanks for your post above Louise - what I want badly is NOT to be this fat when I go on holiday in July otherwise I'll just be miserable
