Lost 1 to 2 Lbs this week. :j

I have been keeping a dieting spreadsheet since April 2009 and a pattern has now become glaringly obvious to me.

In the first half of 2009 I lost 11 lbs. I put it all back on over the latter half of the summer and ended the year with a 1 lb gain.

The same has happened this year. I lost 10lbs and put it all back on over the summer. Too many BBQs and Pimms I think;)

I thought I got fat at Christmas and in the winter!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Armed with this info maybe I will be arrest the steady increase in my weight?!

What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.
  • After an irritating period of no weight change at all I've now lost 2lbs this week.

  • Hi everyone - checking in with a loss this week of 1.5lb. Well pleased. Joined a new gym recently and I'm loving it, been going twice a week and am determined to keep this up. Was so unfit when I started (despite daily dog walks, thought I was quite fit but not at all, it turns out!) and now I can do 10 minutes running on the treadmill and 15 minutes on the cross-trainer. Have been increasing my time by 1 min each visit to the gym. You should see me by the end - puffing and blowing, face like a lobster - but it's working, I've lost a total of 6.25lb since I joined and I feel much better for it. Good luck everyonen and have a lovely Sunday.

wow - a string of losses this week!!! :D

I've lost 4 pounds this week, 23 on this challenge and 74 in total. Another half inch off my waist which is 8 inches in total. 3 more weigh ins to my holiday.

I orginally (pre edit!!!!) said next I didn't think I'd do '28 and some' before I went on holiday but I didn't realise I had 5 to go to get to 28. Anything over my challenge goal is helpful as I'm guessing 11 nights away will mean a hefty gain because of not being on CD. Whatever I do gain though (and I'm guessing around 10 pounds) I aim to get off within 2 weeks back on CD , which will be the first 2 weeks of the next challenge ;)

Hello all! :hello:Sorry to burst in mid-topic I know nothing about!? But I would love to join you in the Halloween Challenge please! I know I'm late but I only have 7lbs to lose and I make it almost 8 weeks so hopefully it's doable! I'm using the FoodFocus website to track my calories - I lost a stone and a half in about four months last year with it, but half a stone of that has crept back on, I need to stop it creeping!

Hi there, welcome to the thread:) I have added you to the spreadsheet tracker with a target of 7lbs.

It's just our usual 10 week challenge Buffy which runs up to about Halloween. Next one after that will be the Christmas challenge:eek:
