We finish on 17th October for this 10 weeks. But these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.0 -
ok, cheers Lou. I thought that all along and then for some reason thought we might have another week.
Wishful thinking really as it would mean I'd have the chance to get my holiday gain off :rotfl:"Stay Wonky":D

I've been thinking in my mind over the last few weeks how to build up to my holiday food wise. Going from 3 CD products (400-ish calories) to eating and drinking (even though I'm going to try to be careful) is too huge a leap. So I'm going to to do SS+ this week with 4 products and 200ml skimmed milk (around 600 calories). Next week I'm going to stay on SS+ but do 3 products plus the chicken or tuna and veg allowance (again around 600 cal), then I'll do the 810 calorie plan the week before my holiday.
Over the years, I have experienced gallbladder type pain more than once when I've jumped from a low fat diet to eating food with fat in it. The knowledge of that is going to help keep me a little more restrained than normal but I'd rather just add little elements now and over the next 3 weeks and lose maybe 1 or 2 pounds less than go straight to eating 'normally' and suffer."Stay Wonky":D

Well, the irony of it all after what I said yesterday............
I was awake between 2 and 5 last night with a gallbladder attackutterly horrific pain at the base of the ribs, couldn't sit, lay, stand, lean over in any way to ease it. It was like a huge rock was being constantly pushed into the top of my abdomen/bottom of my ribs. Freezing cold, 5 minutes later, sweating , 5 minutes later freezing. I have only had 1 as bad as this before and that was 9 years ago. I had been following a very low fat diet. When to my parents for a family event, had an indian takeaway and had the same thing. My mum had her had her gallbladder removed not long before that and said to drink some hot tea. I did, threw up and it 'released' the pain.
Took 2 cups but it did the trick, I threw up and then it settled about 10 minutes later...........I really don't know what triggered it because it gets a bit 'grumbly' if I eat loads of fatty food or jump from a diet to a fatty meal but this was just a normal day, if only that I added an extra CD sachet.
It has been a red light signal to me about my holiday though and I am going to be eating low fat, healthy things as much as possible. I am going to do SS+ this week, then 810 and then 1000. I wasn't going to go up to 1000 before my holiday but it's just not worth the risk of jumping from 810 up to whatever my intake will be. I really don't want to be that ill again, especially on holiday.
I can't see me getting much past my 28 pound goal on the challenge to have a few pounds in 'reserve' for the holiday but that doesn't matter."Stay Wonky":D

You take care BB, the weight will still come off but like you say you cannot afford another attack like that. You are doing fantastically and if it takes a tiny bit longer to achieve your end goal then so be it.But these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.0
