Please keep going spud. It doesn't matter about the time length of the challenge. If you 'forget' about the challenge and say you'll come back to the next one, do you think that you will lose weight, stay the same or gain weight in any inbetween time? If it is the second or third option then you aren't going anywhere lady :D

I will keep going, but I'm just being realistic. We're going to cut the food budget right down, which will mean eating less diety foods. As we all know, when we're eating well and healthily, the food shop costs more. I just cant do that. As Buffy said yesterday, cheap is usually stodge and not great for the waistline.

Coming back here week after week, reporting a STS gets a bit :( after a while, and thats been eating really well on a full purse. Hopefully over the coming weeks I can carry on and STS, who knows, maybe even lose a pound or 2 but I'm really not expecting it.

    Hi Spud,

Have you tried Lidl's for fruit and veg and diet stuff, i.e. wholemeal oats, tins of mixed beans etc.

It may well be different in your area, but my local Lidl has a fantastic selection of locally grown veg at great prices. They do a lot of cheap organic produce too.

    Take care x.

Oohh thanks for that Scrooge. I dont think we've ever shopped at Lidl, but looking at the website, there's one about 3 miles away. Might be worth a trip out for a looksy when we've bene paid :D

Don't forget Aldi spud, it's where I do nearly all my shopping now...especially as their fruit and veg is so damn cheap it's like robbing it! And the Super Six is brilliant too (well, this fortnight it's not too bad, and lettuces are only 50p....50p...50p *tries to hypnotise with cheap lettuces*)

    Food diary...
    B - cereal
    S - banana
    L - ham salad
D - chicken kebab (no pitta) with lettuce and coleslaw (and it is a small one....an extra small one at that)

Had to start at stage 1 of shred, as all my hard work has been undone by going home and doing buggar all....Also reverted back to week 3 c25k....remind me to take jogging stuff to Finland...

Spud, I know exactly what you mean about having a budget and diet stuff but I have found this tread on the old style board, its all about cooking low fat meals old style and has some great ideas on there, especially the older threads

you cant get much cheaper than porridge for breakfast and I agree with the others, Aldi and lidl are fantastic for fruit and veg.

I have even had free food from Lidl before (you have to get there early on a morning though)
But these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.

Ta for that linky Lou. I'll have a good read tomorrow.

We'll definitely go to Aldi/Lidl and have a look.
