Oh BB your post has humbled me - you are being so strong and though you have said you have shrugged off your OH comments in the past, they must have still hurt. And now you have found something that works for you, that is fantastic.
You have made me think about my own situation and you are right it is something that needs a lot of thinking about. I don't know if it is the solution for me, or whether I was just thinking about short term losses but not long term issues.
Thank you BB and well done :T:TOD [STRIKE] £2600 [/STRIKE] £0 :j Loan [STRIKE]£9500.00[/STRIKE] £0 :j Car [STRIKE]£3150[/STRIKE] £0 :j Moving Costs [STRIKE]£1300[/STRIKE] £0 :j Savings £1150 :j

I think that a lot of people see CD and other similar things as "cheating" or "the easy option". These people are probably those who have never had an emotional issue with food, who have never had to lose more than a few lbs which can be done with cutting back on chocolate or bread etc, or those people who are simply jealous of the fact that you can stick to something so disciplined, and alter your life so radically as a result.
But of course it isn't easy - the "idea" of it may seem simplistic, but unless your head is in the right place to do it and to do it properly, you can still cheat, "forget" about that handful of chocs you grabbed out of the tin of Roses, and try and kid yourself that "just one" won't hurt. Like any "diet", if you don't embrace it, and if you are not ready for it, it just won't work.
So, it takes a heck of a lot to do something like CD - not just willpower, which is required for every "diet", but determination, emotion, inner strength, a positive attitude, and learning a lot about yourself, some good, some not so good, and making some pretty important discoveries and changes (where appropriate) along the way.
So, be proud of yourself BB, and remember that with every journey, there will be easy days, not so easy days, and down right crappy days. But remember that you have support here, and those that may judge you for doing CD (whether in RL or on here) have probably never been there and been faced with the issues, so what do they know!
Keep going, you are past that 3 weeks you were talking about before - and that deserves a huge pat on the back xxSuccessful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -

It really does tenmah, and our daily walks have really given us some quality time together which sometimes goes by the wayside when you are working and have a family.
He is taking the boys to play badminton tomorrow too and I am not worried that he is going to keel over during the game anymore:oBut these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.0 -
Also meant to say sorry for 'outing' you BB - I honestly thought you had spoken about it in DC
which was why I was asking for your opinion on it!

Well done hypno, before you know it you'll be on level 3 :rotfl:.
You'll have your six pack and iron buttocks by 23rd July. Get the little cropped tops and hot pants out ready.
Well done Mr J. Has he been using any particular plan Lou? Thanks.I learned that courage was not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it. The brave man is not he who does not feel afraid, but he who conquers that fear.0 -
Thanks scrooge, although I think even after 300 days of Shred I will still not be wearing hotpants. Some things you just have to accept will always be "slightly imperfect"!! I am a typical pear, though, so am hoping for the six pack at the end of it!
And the timing is perfect - 2 days after I finish (although I will carry on I expect) I am on hols - not on a beach or anything, but hopefully able to wear shorts and strappy tops without feeling too bothered about it all!
Now - just got to get to grips with those squat thrusts :rotfl:Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -
