Excellent post BB, I do think sometimes we can only do things when we are ready to? debt payments, weight loss, studying etc and then whilst it is not easier it is better and clearer. As Pania says you are amazing xxxx
In my weight loss world not so much is happening. I should weigh in today, the local Morrisions has had its weighing machine fixed....but some of my kids work there so not sure about that. The other one I go to is akward to get today but we shall see.
I am still not eating chocolate,I do still long for a wispa bar but I want to see how long I can manage with it.
Have a good Wkend every one xxxxNevertheless she persisted.0 -

Ok, so I am officially depressed
Got on the Wii this morning to get my benchmark weight and found I have actually put on 7lbs since I last weighed myself back in February...bringing me to a MASSIVE (for me) 13st 2lbs
So anyway, I have updated my sig to shame myself and kickstart this dayam regime. I'm trying not to be too blue. I have had a VERY sedentary lifestyle all my life, and that now obviously needs to change as I hit 40. My fiance (luckily) has also put on some weight since we've been together (we're blaming each other for being 'too happy' :rotfl:) but used to be very fit as he works with the military. Therefore he has lots of no-nonsense, low-impact ideas to gradually up our exercise and cut down on all Bad Foods. He's not the type to shy away from exercise, we just need to get some sort of system going.
So, to start, we are avoiding our usual egg/bacon-type weekend breakfast and are going to (i know, i know - we got up late!) have cereal. Later we will do some shopping, choosing healthier options for the week. This afternoon he is going to show me a local walking route that I can start doing to gradually get myself moving.
And all this ON TOP of stopping smoking :rotfl: I must be MAD.Mortgage-Free WannabeMortgage at start [20/6/12]: £151,800/MFD Jun 2035 (age 65)Mortgage now [5/11/14]: £139,212.14/MFD Oct 2029 (age 59)Personal Library 2014:starmod: Read in 2014: 57/60 :starmod: In Progress: 2 :starmod: Books In: 94 :starmod: Books Out: 12 :starmod: TBR: 847 :starmod:0 -

Pania, as I work full time during the week if you can manage to weigh in on a weekend that would be great, otherwise post your loss when you can and I will catch up on a weekend:)
BB, what an amazing post:beer: I am so proud of you for facing your issues with food head on and if CD is working for you and you are feeling well and losing weight then thats fantastic......end of!But these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.0 -

I totally agree with Lou BB :A.
You've found what works for you and you are in the right place mentally to make a success of it. I agree with Buffy, there is a time when things seem to click into place, and massive change can occur.
A close friend of mine has done CD, after trying everything else, and felt amazing on it, she has kept the weight off for over a year now and it did change her relationship to food in a very positive way.
Well done pania on your massive weight loss :rotfl:, that'll take some beating. I hope that you feel much lighter and a free spirit.I learned that courage was not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it. The brave man is not he who does not feel afraid, but he who conquers that fear.0
