I am really pleased this morning as I have managed to lose 1.5lbs of the 2lbs I put on the other week.

MrJ is still in bed so hasn't weighed in yet.

We are off out for some holiday clothes for OH as since our last holiday in the sun he has gone from a gents size large to a small:eek: his trouser size has dropped from a 36" waist to a 32" which are also a bit slack. He also tried his wedding suit on the other day and it fitted him again, :)..........he is looking rather sexy ;)

    Good morning everyone,

Completed another day yesterday, and went to our local market and stocked up on fruits etc. Its a heck of a lot cheaper especially when you shop at 3.30, which I did, 'cos they are beginning to pack up for the day. Got 3 punnets of strawberries for £1......so guess what we had for afters.!! lol:D

Need to do the shopping today, but will avoid the biscuits, cakes and sweets aisles......OH is naturally slim, but likes his sweet stuff. (sickening isn't it). He has said if we buy anything like that, he will take them to work with him, so they are out of temptation for me. :A

I will have to be really good today, 'cos tomorrow we are visting son and family, and I know he is doing Lasagne and garlic bread, and I am sure to have a piece of birthday cake.....its grand daughters 5th birthday. But such is life, these 'occassions' do crop up, and I suppose its the 'managing' of them that I have to learn. :o

BB - I wish I had your will power......cakes all week and you didn't have any....:T

    Have a good day everyone

June 2010 - 11/56 lbs Weight to lose before May 2011.

Wow, good news all around :j:j. You are not only re-gaining your super sexy self, but the husband you married.
Fab news about the weight loss.

Well done on your MSE stawberries Elsie52, and on determining a strategy for special occasions.

These and holidays have really been my downfall in the past.

I agree Elsie, there is always something that comes along to sabotage our weight loss.......potentially.

I look at it like this.....we need to eat 3 meals a day, so that is 21 per week. One bad meal out of 21 isnt going to spoil everything:D

Just as long as you dont eat the whole Birthday cake that is:p

you're basically half way scrooge :T

interesting article and seems to back up my own (much repeated!!) experiences with dieting, 3 weeks is has been my crunch week every time apart from twice when I lost around 5 stone and then hit a 6 month plateau and it started to go back on again.

Well done Lou.......does it mean if he's in his wedding suit again that means you're going to be repeating the honeymoon night? ;)

    Thanks BB,

At least you know you've been able to get the weight off in the past, so you'll be able to do it again. Maintenance will be the next step.

I've never been able to lose weight, this is my first successful attempt.

DH told me today that I nolonger looked pregnant, which I think was a compliment :rotfl:. Considering DS is 11 years old, it was a long time in coming. Tummy is looking very flat though, thanks to a lot of Shred abwork :).

How long have you been married Lou? I've been married 18 years .
