Has anyone got any experience with bloating? I have woken up this morning with an enormous aching belly, and 7lb heavier
Thinking about yesterday, I was in the office all day so probably moved round less and was more stressed. I also took a packed lunch with bread rolls (+ banana, carrot & satsuma for 'snacks') This is differnt to usual as when I can eat at home I normally have cereal for lunch (and fruit if needs be). I came home shattered and ate 3 club biscuitswhich were chocolatey and scrummy at the time. Tea was stir fry veg and noodles. I've been very restrained with food over the last few weeks so could the clubs have done this? I know 3 clubs is rather a binge and not helpful when you're trying to lose weight - but surely they can't equate to a weight gain of 7 pounds
I'm off to the gym shortly to wobble my way through a body balance class and hope no one looks at me - I really could do with doing it behind a curtain.
Has anyone got any ideas of first aid for bloated tummies - what has worked for them to get rid of it, and how long will it last? I haven't had a tummy like this for years and feel really carp.
Cbm
I have felt like this for the past couple of weeks too, also had "toilet issues":o
My tummy is totally swollen, not sure why to be honest, just taken a couple of indigestion tablets to hope that helps. But these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.0 -

Well when you hear the crunch........get yourself on here and we will get you through it this time. This is going to be the time you break the pattern:ABut these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.0 -
Hi everyone,I thought this article was interesting. 21 days appears to be a crunch time BB, but when you get to 66 days then the new, good habit appears to takes precedent. That is roughly the length of a Lou 10 week challenge. Anyone who sticks with Lou for the whole 10 weeks is likely to be hooked

So you start a lot of great new approaches, but they never seem to stick.
Ann Graybiel of MIT’s McGovern Institute has shown through research that neurons change their firing patterns when habits are learned, and then change them again when unlearned. However, as soon as something kicks back in the habit, they are fired back up. That is why it is so easy to pick back up negative addictions like smoking and drinking, but also why if you establish good habits but lose them, you can kick them back up much easier as well.
So how long does it take to establish habits? While the well established rule on habits is 21-28 days, the UK Health Behaviore Research Centre recently came out with research that found it took 66 days to form a habit. I would tend to agree with the latest research — if we can do something for 66 days straight, we can do it for a year, five, or thirty. 21 or 28 days seems to be just enough time to make it questionable, or make you confident but not be able to stick to it.I learned that courage was not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it. Morning All
It was with great trepidation that I got on the scales this morning but I'm STS - Thank God - thought might have gone up this week! I have not been a good bunny but I've been working so hard that I haven't had time to think.
Next Friday my life is about to become much easier and I hope to get more exercise :j and more time to shop for low cal healthy foods
ShaggyWhat do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.0 -
Morning all,
Well done Shaggy for not putting any on. Not long until next Friday .
Well I have lost 1 lb. this week.
I'm going to go on a nice, long cycle ride today with DS, so hopefully that will shift a few more of my fat cells.
I'm loving my new bike. There is a cycle track from our house straight to DS school, which goes through a beautiful glen, and we have cycled to the school a few times this week.
