I'll give it go... I lost 84lbs a couple of years ago and had an alright body but being in a really comfortable relationship and a mix of other "problems" caused me to stop working out and I've slowly put some weight back on and lost quite a bit of definition so here's hoping for at least a 28lb loss in 2010. I'm not sure if I'll post every week but I will check back more often than I used to - I think my last post was in March last year lol.0

:dance:Dance of the Day..............
I reckon that having a good old mad dance brightens your day, raises energy levels and burns off a few excess calories too. So every day I shall post a dance of the day.
Dont be shy now, get your hairbrush microphones out and go mad

Jacmantaz..... I am going to start on a beginners program with the women's running network during the week. They start you off running one minute walking the next and building you up to being able to run for 30 minutes in 10 weeks apparently....... as someone who has always wanted to be able to run and never managed it I am yet to be convinced!!! I will give it a bloody good go though! With a group of other red faced unfit women I figure I should blend in!!! ha ha ha0

This thread is really busy!
I'm not going to do a diet of any kind. I've done a thousand and lost and regained all the weight again and again. Instead, I'm going to follow a strict budget, watch my portions and cut the rubbish.
I haven't done any exercise today, but this is the first time I've sat down today. I'm hoping clearing up mountains of stuff from Christmas will count as a bit of a work-out!0 -
Jacmantaz and waterwatcher: I use the Couch to 5k (C25k) running program. If you google it you can find the podcasts or I've downloaded the app for my iPod touch that allows you to use your own music. Basically it's a program that tells you what to do! You start with a 5 minute warm up walk and then alternate walking and jogging for different amounts of time depending on what stage of the program you're on till you finish with a 5 minute cool down walk. It lasts 9 weeks with the aim to do it 3 times a week. I managed to get to week 3 a while ago before I lost interest, but with seeing the new Ministry of Sound running trax compilation I think I'm going to give it a go again!Emergency Fund - £8572.39 / £10,000 :: Mortgage OP 2025 - £LISA 24/25 - £3200 / £4000 :: NSD 2025 - 2 / 150 :: Books Read: 1 / 52 :: Decluttering - 4 / 1000Engaged 9th December 2010 :: Married 29th October 2015 :: Bought a House 13th January 20170

I know that procrastination is usually the best friend of someone who wants to lose weight. But I am having a final binge today. I have found some leftover Christmas sweets and the like, and as long as they're in the house I won't be good! So I'll get rid of them this evening along with some xmas booze! Naughty, but has to be done!0

Ooooh can I join too please?
I certainly feel it when I eat rubbish - not only in my appearance, but also in my moods, energy etc - and with having an underactive thyroid to contend with, the healthier I can be the better. Apparently the best diet for this is no alcohol, caffeine, sugar, and for it to be wheat free and dairy free.... I wish someone had told me this before I'd got hooked on all of the above.
I have re-joined a gym, and plan to do Bodypump three times a week, and cardio once or twice. This is the plan I did a few years ago, and dropped a couple of dress sizes and toned up, very quickly. That is how I want to look (and feel again). I'll also follow WW but do it myself at home as I can't afford the weekly fee either, although it would be nice to meet other WW's I can still get the same support, if not more, here.
Its my big 3-0 in September which is my motivation, I would love to lose 2 and a half stone, however, losing inches is also important, so I don't want to get too hung up on the scales!
Spent the last few days making soups - sweetcorn, sweet potato & chickpea, and lentil and carrot soup. Not zero points, but good for me, so want to strike a balance with that too.
Sorry to ramble. When will our weigh in day be?
