How is everyone doing? Weather is getting milder and today is sunny which always lifts the spirits making you feel less inclined to hibernate with a family bag of Walkers crisps and a box of thorntons chocolates.

How about getting your trainers on and going for a nice walk :A

I have a healthy and low fat packed lunch to take to college and tonights dinner will be chiken and veg stir fry...........

See how good I am being:D

well I have lost 3lbs in the last fortnight YEAH!! :D another 1lb to go and I've broken the stone which was my target. :j

Can't actually believe that I have come this far usually I give up long before now but thats three months I've stuck to it and thankfully seen some results so I'm going to keep going for as long as I can.

welcome to all the newbies to the thread and keep up the good work to all those who are still sticking it out.

    WE CAN DO IT!! :T

    Well done KiWi,

How comes this time has been different? I'm looking for a bit of inspiration as i'm starving after two days of sticking to my diet and exercise plan, and my desire for a big, fat chocolate covered cream cake is becoming overwhelming ......

scrooge, if you're exercising too, allow yourself a little treat. Say a little bar of chocolate, or a chocolately drink (you can get nice low-cal ones) You'll be burning more calories, so you can get away with a little treat - hmmm....I'd say a Milky Way? They're only 96 calories too.....so not as bad as an eclair.
To get me through, I drink tons of water and fruit juice (averaging around 3 litres a day this week) and have fruit juice or a little fruit if I fancy something sweet. Or go to mr t's as they have a multipack of mini bags of popcorn and they're my treat (along with 4 jelly babies)
Also, I'll be doing a weigh in on either Weds or Thurs as I'm away this weekend....probably Thurs.

    Morning lovely lot:A

Rainy here today but had a very good start to the day with a free daily scratch card win of £5:j they are normally only 10p so I am chuffed with that.

Today is a very long day at work for me as I wont be back until 9pm tonight so I have made a prawn salad for lunch and a moroccon couscous with chicken for dinner to eat at work. Lots of fruit too;)

Hope you all have a good day.

    Well done KiWi,

How comes this time has been different? I'm looking for a bit of inspiration as i'm starving after two days of sticking to my diet and exercise plan, and my desire for a big, fat chocolate covered cream cake is becoming overwhelming ......

Apologies this is quite long lol....

Hi scrooge2008 not entirely sure why this time is different to be honest although I have not denied myself little treats as I know if I do then my body will crave them and I would go off it with a bang.

Both Husband and I are doing it together so having his helping hand is good too. Don't think I could do it alone as I have no willpower what so ever.

I just try to remember things like :
    - the last photo I seen of me and how unhappy I was being a giant compared to everyone else in it.
    - knowing that when we do have kids I will be able to run after them, play with them and do things that I don't think I could manage now.
    - seeing how much extra we had to pay on our life insurance when we got our first mortgage a year ago because the company thought our BMIs were too high (being MSE I of course want to get this extra expense down)
    - seeing how much my shopping bills can come down when I am not buying lots of food that I don't need to eat or processed food that is not good for me.
    - knowing that one day I might be able to go into any shop on the high street and pick out clothes that will fit me rather than at the minute knowing that there is nothing in them that would fit me and having to single out the "bigger" shops

I think everyone has to have the want to lose weight or your heart just isn't in it.
I have had several incentives over the years like my own wedding and three friends weddings but I never seemed able to do it but something has just finally clicked into place and I'm trying to do what I can while the want is still there.

My rather lame advice would be to find someone to do it with you (or use us lovely people on here) as support and work through it. I honestly think that a lot of eating problems are boredom or time constrained. So plan wherever you can and try to keep yourself occupied and that will maybe take your mind off food.

Good luck and I hope that anything Ive said has helped someone out there. It has taken me quite a while to get to this stage.

    KiWi :D
