Hi, could I please join in..?
I could do with some accountability :) I'm trying to lose weight by eating less and exercising daily. I have a cross trainer that I plan to go on for 30 mins a day.
I had lost half a stone but I've put it back on. Its been a month of picking, eating badly and not exercising regularly.
I intend to start afresh tomorrow

Hi all weighed in this morning and have lost 1lb. One more pound to go and i have lost a stone which will take me to 130lb (9st 4lb).I have set myself mini targets along the way, my first was to loose 4lb to get to 10 stone. Then to loose 5lb to get to 135lb and so on. when I reach 130lb my next mini target will be to get to 9 stone, then Just to maintain which has always been a big problem for me. My weight loss has been very slow but steady and sometimes its very hard not to throw in the towel when you dont loose anything one week.Keep going everyone

    Hi,
This morning started off well. I did 30 mins on the cross trainer and had muesli for breakfast, it kinda went down hill from there, but I did stop eating!

I noticed there is a spread sheet for targets and a 10 week challenge, how do I go about signing up for those?

The fact that I'd posted on here and that I'd have to confess made me stop eating, so its having the desired effect already!

    Tomorrow is another day....
  • Hi folks.

Not been doing well here. Exercise wise its been good but food wise. hmmm.

Shessyed - what do you mean? that your muscles get too big? Have you ever tried Pilates? or Yoga? I think they are meant to help elongate the muscles? Hope that is what you mean - welcome to the thread btw

I was going to bed but have got invovled in a stupid shark movie.

I need upper body strength (for if I am ever chased by a shark obviously, my God this film is ridiculous and horrible in equal measure)

I have ordered a new set of scales - the traditional kind. I was all for weighing in Morrisions until a) I realised an ex student worked there b) its costs a pound! c) the machine is broken.

The old scales just flunctuate between me being Y and me being Y +15 so methinks they have bust!

I have kept up with my walking- so far this month I have kept up an average 6000 steps per day and do feel better. I especially like my friday walk of roughly 3000 steps to the takeaway places.........see a flaw in the plan there!!

all the best folks. am finally off to bed. There are only three people left on shark attack thing so it must be over soon

    xxxx
    Nevertheless she persisted.

    Hi everyone.

I've just been on the scales for the weekend weigh in and I have lost 1lb :).

Good and bad points this week:-

    Good
    1. I have written down everything I have ate and drank on a tracking sheet.
    2. I have gone to a Body Jam class, a Boxing Fitness class and played an hour of badminton with DS, without having a heart attack.
    3. I have felt committed.

    Work ons
    1. Tuesday and Friday evening I succumbed to unplanned wine and nibble blips costing me 600 calories over budget each time.
    2. Friday morning my boss bought me a surprise massive lorne sausage in a roll with tomato sauce treat, and again it mucked up my calories for the day.

I have to admit I savoured every mouthful of the above and made them all last as long as possible, but still there is room for improvement.
I learned that courage was not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it. The brave man is not he who does not feel afraid, but he who conquers that fear.

Morning all. utopia - well done and what a good idea to set small targets like that. I've reached my goal twice in the last few years but then gained it all back again so I'm absolutely determined to get there this year and stay there this time! I seem to find it easier to lose weight than maintain - how odd! scrooge - you made me laugh about your exercise. I joined an aerobics class but had to give up after 3 weeks, it made me feel so ill afterwards! I think I'm too old for leaping around energetically - so will stick to power walking and yoga. I'm weighing in on Tuesday rather than Monday next week cos going away on a minibreak so will report in on Tuesday Louise. Good luck everyone - and have a lovely weekend.
