Thanks Kiwi, that's really helpful. I think I have been permanently trying to lose weight since my DS was born 12 years ago, with very little success, so i'm very interested in what triggers the light bulb moment, when a person manages to lose weight permanently and not just until the next holiday/crisis etc.

Well not holding out much hope for this week folks as i have managed to twist my ankle and had to go home early to rest it. Day off today so hopefully will be ok for tomorrow but am in a job where i stand for 9hrs a day. Unable to take dog for usual long hikes and just had a major fallout with ex so all in all not a good week for me. Fortunately dont have a lot of crap in the house so wont be able to stuff my face to make me feel better for a few mins:) but sure i will find something unhealthy.
Anyway sorry to rant on but thanks for listening aprreciate the support and will report on weight loss (fingers crossed) or not at the weekend
    Good luck all

What a sh**ty week shanks. It's the kind of week that would drive me to the cheese, carbs and wine, so it's good that you are recognising the potential downfall and will not be able to go shopping!

Hope that your ankle heals quickly.

Got weighed today...I've put on 2lb.....bit upset but I've got my exercise plan and a review in 12 weeks...I WILL lose that first stone and be well on the way to my second by then!

    Targets:
    No carbs after 6pm
    6 small meals a day
Go to the gym two/three times a week
    Do exercise at home too
Not rely on scales, but on clothes too.

Good for you elfen staying positive - I know you'll get to your goal - as we all will. And well done on 3 litres of water per day! Wow! On a good day I can drink 2 litres but need to really work at it! Well, I've now broken up for the Easter hols (yay!) so have lots of time to concentrate on my healthy eating and exercise. Have a good evening everyone xx

Well I resisted the buffet :j I stuck to fruit with a small salad .I ve also done 10 mins jogging on the wii when I got back,I know thats not much but really pushed for time today. In my meeting I was given a chocolate easter egg and a bottle of wine for hitting target .Why do bosses always do this ? Anyway I ve hidden them under the stairs, out of sight, out of mind.:p

Can I just ask if its ok to weigh in on a sunday ? Or do you start the new weeks figures then ?

Hope your ankle gets better shanks x
