I think I last used my mine in June/July to buy the flights home for my brother's Wedding. And for me, the biggest temptation now is to use it for flights home. Which reminds me, must send extra to UK this month to pay for flights! lol
But, other than that, I don't really think about them anymore. They're still in my purse, which is weird. I think it's because I feel I need them with me as back up for emergency. Like when I got stuck in the snow in January - if I had to, I could've used the card to pay for a hotel room overnight.
Not sure why I can resist them now, but not before. Maybe it's just a change in my attitude, not just towards the CC's, but to finances and debt in general.
How about everyone else? Do you find it easier now? Or more difficult?
My CCs are no longer the temptation for me, they're an annoyance!! Its the catalogue accounts that I would run up again! I like clothes/shoes/handbags I do

Ohhhh, I do love shoes and handbags! I like clothes too, but shoes and handbags are my thing! And I really need a new handbag now. Mine is starting to fall apart - I have a habit of falling in love with one and using it continuously until it dies! lol

The one I carry in my purse is completely maxed out so no use to me. I had to reduce my limit on one of my others yesterday as I had paid off over 1200 and it would have tempted me to get another card for it.
I am not as bad as I used to be, as I still had money left until yesterday but I do still tend to buy the odd thing on it... however if I budget properly and actually stick to the budget then I shouldn't need to use them.
I finally rang the bank today about that £30 and it turns out that the breakers yard I got my car part from put the payment through twice!!! Hopefully the bank is going to reverse the second payment... which means my pad today is £30 to my cc.

Including the test cost and a couple of non MOT jobs I needed, it ended up costing me £304 - and I still need to get some new wiper blades (I'm amazed it didn't fail on that too). That's OK though. It is my livelihood after all. By the time I get tax/NI relief and make a couple of other calculations, the actual cost to me will be around £185. That's calculating the 85% (business use) of the £304 (about £260) and then calculating the tax and NI relief on the £260 (28% I think) which gives 260 - 75 (roughly) = £185 more or less. Ok so I have to lay all the money out but I will (eventually) benefit a bit with a tax bill that will be lower by about £119 (that's the £304 minus the £185). It never feels quite so bad when I view it that way
It's always one thing or another isn't it?

No snow in the southeast. A fair bit of rain though vbut clear this morning. Off out in a minute to do some more work. Sounds like more rain this afternoon. Relatively mild now. We don't usually get it as bad down here as you do in Scotland.0 -
Morning Padders!
I was up uintil 5am...was drinking tea until 4 then went to bed, stayed awake til 5 so I could bye to OH (he usually wakes me up to say bye but I thought since he was getting up in a hour I may aswell stay awake!)
The sprogettes got me up at 8 so I'm exhusted!
It snowed the whole of yesterday and all of last night and it's still going, there are already 4ft snow drifts and it's not showing any signs of letting upThere's been so much snow here though since the start of Dec that it seems to be normal now, it would be strange without the snow as opposed to the snow being inconvenience! I'm going to have to get digging but it feels like we're fighting a losing battle against the snow...there's soooo much of it!
Anyway, my pad today is another £12.00 please Keza!
If you're out an about today mind and watch those slippy roads!
