A Payment a Day -Part Seven!
Comments

Hello
I would like to join this challenge if that's okay? Just a couple of questions: Do I have to post every single day how much my payment is that day or can I keep a note and post once a month? If so, what date should I post by to confirm the amount for the month? I don't have internet access at home at the moment so I can't post at weekends.
Thank you and looking forward to paying off my debt (loan to Bank of Scotland approx. £6500 but I will go home and check my statement and put the proper amount in my signature).

I think I last used my mine in June/July to buy the flights home for my brother's Wedding. And for me, the biggest temptation now is to use it for flights home. Which reminds me, must send extra to UK this month to pay for flights! lol
But, other than that, I don't really think about them anymore. They're still in my purse, which is weird. I think it's because I feel I need them with me as back up for emergency. Like when I got stuck in the snow in January - if I had to, I could've used the card to pay for a hotel room overnight.
Not sure why I can resist them now, but not before. Maybe it's just a change in my attitude, not just towards the CC's, but to finances and debt in general.
How about everyone else? Do you find it easier now? Or more difficult?
G'day all, and welcome to all n00bs :j
Referring to c/cs, euro, I just swore to myself that once I paid off mine in December I WAS NOT going to start running up a balance again. So I closed the account and opened another with a cashback card and interest of 16.9% if I roll over a balance (to put me off). Now I use that card for all food, fuel and odds and sods and have set up a d/d for the full amount each month to automatically clear it. That way I get cashback AND interest on my 'everyday' money staying in my current account. I can't say the temptation to spend has completely evaporated, but starting to save helps too - I'm addicted to putting away every little bit of money I can! Also, knowing I CAN buy something without credit strangely now deters me from actually buying it. Strange fruit that I am.
Anyhoo. My PAD today is a compact and bijou £5.08 into savings to round down my account. I still have a small amount of money left in my current account too (the day before payDay?? Unheard of!) so am hoping to do bigger PADs tomorrow and over the weekend as my wages and d/ds sort themselves out.
Oh my, but I do jabber. Exsqueeze me.
Have a lovely day all!

Afternoon all,
bit late on parade today, but after nothing for weeks, have been on the phone almost non stop since 9 to various agencies and their clients over prospective jobs, so hopefully something will come of it all. I've got so used to surviving on part time money, that if I have real money (in the bank) I don't know quite what I'll do.
Anyhow, payday today but until I've been shopping no idea what's left, but Mum paid £4 into my account that she borrowed, so will pay that towards the cc's.
May be back later.Debts at LBM - Mortgages £128497 - non mortgage £27497 Debt now £[STRIKE]114150[/STRIKE][STRIKE]109032[/STRIKE] 64300 (mortgage) Credit cards left 0

Hi everyone
Supposed to be working but have been reading through this thread (obviously not all of it from the start) and this is something that I could definitely do. I'm not the most organised of people which is why i have debts.
So, is it ok to join you? And I thought I'd just count any extra I pay off my debts over and above the minimum/expected payments.
And, finally, I've not posted on a forum before - how do you all get the stuff at the bottom of your page showing how much you owe?
Thanks
Oh, think I've found it0 -

No thanks. You can keep it. You know how to handle it better than us Suvverners.
Although I'm fine working in moderate rain, it started peeing down a while ago so I'm home again. Not to worry. I got a modest half day in. I'm tired anyway so maybe a full day would have been a bit much.0 -

Hello and welcome to any newbies:wave:
It's up to you entirely what you do, whether you include your minimum payments or not, but pleasethere is just one rule here and that is to make your pads colourful, bold, large or preferably all three to make it easy for the adder-upper.
Even just a penny a day can count and it all goes towards a good cause... being DEBT FREE!! :T
Angelicmary will tell you that its a bit mad here, and the other rule is - once you're here you never really leave.
The adder upper for this month is keza and it definitely makes it easier if you can see the total that someone is paying.Debts at LBM - Mortgages £128497 - non mortgage £27497 Debt now £[STRIKE]114150[/STRIKE][STRIKE]109032[/STRIKE] 64300 (mortgage) Credit cards left 0
