    Hello :)

I would like to join this challenge if that's okay? Just a couple of questions: Do I have to post every single day how much my payment is that day or can I keep a note and post once a month? If so, what date should I post by to confirm the amount for the month? I don't have internet access at home at the moment so I can't post at weekends.

Thank you and looking forward to paying off my debt (loan to Bank of Scotland approx. £6500 but I will go home and check my statement and put the proper amount in my signature).

    :j

It's entirely up to you how you do it. I like the discipline of posting every day, it sort of reminds me to make the payment. If you don't have regular internet access, just post when you can. The totals for the month are done on the 1st of the following month, so it doesn't really matter when you post.

  • Go it. We do have that here too, I'm not sure what its called though, although I'm guessing not a factor fee :)

I always associated factoring with accountancy and debt collection as when I work in Finance a factoring service was when you got someone else to collect payments. When our housing system got a 'factoring' module I was very confused until someone explained it was a Scottish term for service charges.

  • No thanks. You can keep it. You know how to handle it better than us Suvverners :) .
Although I'm fine working in moderate rain, it started peeing down a while ago so I'm home again. Not to worry. I got a modest half day in. I'm tired anyway so maybe a full day would have been a bit much.

We might be able to 'andle it betta' but we're really fed up of it now...it's been here since start of Dec, it's nearly the end of Feb now! The tourists love it and keep piling into their wee cars and driving North, they don't seem to know how dangerous it can get because they aren't used to driving in so much snow (OH stopped on the A9 last night to help a woman who'd skidded across the road into a lorry) and then they empty the shelves in the little supermarket before heading South again with their ski's strapped to their roof racks...Weegies & people from Suffolk seem to be the worst though (my apologies if anyone is from those areas :D)

To top if off, we've seen a snow plough no more than 5 times since it started...it's back up to about 3ft with 4/4.5ft drifts, people can't get anywhere.... it's madness!

  • Angelicmary will tell you that its a bit mad here, and the other rule is - once you're here you never really leave.

I can confirm the above statement, however...I'm not the [STRIKE]only[/STRIKE] mad one :A [STRIKE]there are several mad hatters aboard the pad train[/STRIKE]

There's been alot of new interest in our soon to be not so modest little thread so hopefully we can make the full £500k this year!! :D
