    Hi Sashybo
Just a quick post to say you're doing really well. You're being proactive and getting on with job applications and not just sitting around doing nothing. Something will come of it, don't worry!!

Hi sazzle, thanks for the encouragement. Just had another rejection saying I passed the initial sift but there were so many applications that I didn't get to interview. :(

Apparently they will keep my application on hold for six months though incase something similar comes up. Have already applied for two similar jobs with the same place so will just have to wait and see.

Had quite a good time today helping my uncle, was just carrying stuff, helping him set up his camera and paperwork and staying out of shot. We were in about 6 or 7 bars shooting video which was quite funny and saw some nice places I hadn't been to before.

My uncle is quite quiet so was worried he wouldn't speak much but it was actually fine and he spoke more to me than he has in years. :rotfl:Guess he doesn't like crowds much - which there tend to be at family events as it's a big family. He gave me a bit of money as well which was good and will probably be helping him out again next week.

Going to have a quick bath and then get to bed as up early tomorrow to go to my sister's. I've been roped into babysitting duties again since she's taking one of the twins to a hospital appointment. So I have the other twin and my 3yo nephew to entertain for a couple of hours. Do you think it's cruel to send them back to bed so I can have peace? :rotfl:

Still hoping to hear from a couple of applications and will hopefully do a couple more tomorrow afternoon.

Went to my sister's this morning to babysit while she took one twin to a hospital appointment. On my way there I met someone I used to work with in my last job - he was saying the place is just as bad if not worse now and he was signed off with stress as well. Just a horrible atmosphere in the place but he's sticking it out until the end of the contract.

At my sister's it was just me, one twin and my youngest nephew so was getting them to help me tidy the house. Must admit the 3yo was more of a hindrance though! He kept wanting to play and for me to pretend to be a dragon. My niece was fine, just played about and then lay down in her big brother's cupboard on his clean duvet sets for a rest. :rotfl:

When I was washing the dishes the two of them were in the living room watching tv - walked in after 10 minutes to find half a packet of wipes all over the floor. The 3yo had sat and watched my 18 month old neice pull the wipes out of the packet!

My sister was away for about 2 hours and I didn't really notice. The time went so quickly in between tidying, cleaning, pulling my nephew off my niece/out of cupboards/off windowsills and the rest! Don't know how she copes.

Went into town with my sister for a bit after and my nephew brought his scooter. If there was a way for him to get in someone's way he found it. If there was only one person on a big stretch of pavement he would head straight for them. It was a nightmare! The town was busy because it's nice and sunny so had to threaten my nephew with the scooter going in the bin if he didn't behave. :o

Now recovering in my nice quiet house - although the cats are being a bit mad atm.

Not a great deal to report today - OH has finished the flooring, just need to sort out the edging and thresholds. :j OH is going to wait until his dad comes up for a visit in a couple of weeks to get his help with the finishing touches. It looks really good for OH not having laid flooring before. :D

So spent most of the day helping OH out then tidying up afterwards. Went out to Makro for some tonic water so we could have G&T's later.

Just cuddled up with cats and keeping warm, it's pretty cold and windy outside. Brrr. :(

That's a shame - it is like a Summer's day here (apart from the Volcanic dust!). Enjoy the G&T's - bet the floor looks lovely :)

Thanks mac, yes the floor looks good and the G&T's were certainly enjoyed. :D

Got up reasonably early and took the old carpet to the dump, along with the offcuts of wood we had left over. Two less piles of rubbish to deal with. :j

Then we went to Morrison's for some rolls and came out with a few other things. :o Spent less than a tenner though, so acceptable. Had rolls and sausage with potato scones - very yummy but very bad. :naughty:

Cats are crashed out on my knee just now and I have a washing in the machine. OH is playing Call of Duty (or something) on the PS3 and my eardrums are being assaulted by the noise of explosions/shooting etc. :wall: I asked him to turn it down - the volume went from 40 to 35.

Mr Fresian is only allowed to play Call of Duty if he wears headphones, otherwise he will be found under the paving slabs in the garden 50 years hence...:A

:rotfl:@ FF - yes I know that feeling. Was really getting to the end of my tether with all the noise yesterday. His response "I'll play a quieter game". The quieter game? Killing Nazi zombies. :rotfl::mad: Yes....that's quiet....and not weird at all....:D

Just getting ready to go and help my sister out with the twins as she's taking them to the Dr for jags. I get the great job of holding one. Then we are going to my mum's to pick up the boys.

Need to get a couple of applications finished and submitted today. Won't have time before going out so will need to do it later. Have had a bath and cleaned the bathroom but have lots of housework to do later as well. :(

I've decided I need to do something a bit more productive with my time so will have to start giving the place a really good clean and tidy. Have bought sugar soap from B&Q in an attempt to get the cat sick splatter off my wall. So that will be attempted this week. Also need to clear out the fridge and cupboards to clean them properly. Need to declutter *again* I'm sure there are loads of things to do that I keep putting off.

May post a picture of my finished floor at some point as well - I'm proud of it. :D

OH is a perfectionist and is worried that it looks rubbish. He's also worried that his dad will come up and just point out the mistakes he's made (which he probably will ). I told him to just ignore his dad if he does that as he's done a really good job but I know it's not really that easy. :(

Not sure what the plan is for today. Did manage to get one application finished and submitted yesterday but really starting to panic about the lack of jobs and lack of responses I'm getting. :(

Need to buy milk today but am going to try and make as many dinners as I can from what we have in the house. May get the sugar soap out later if I'm feeling up to the challenge.

Looks nice and sunny outside but still cold. Was nice yesterday to see my nephews and nieces but what a handful. My oldest nephew (8) was being very moody and everytime he didn't get his own way would come out with "I hate this family!" and storm out of the room!:rotfl: The 3yo then started to copy him.

So hoping to keep busy today so I don't have time to feel down about the job situation.
