:rotfl: mac and gilly - I'll tell you one thing, having cats and cleaning up after them all the time has left me a lot less squeamish! They really can be little mingers. :rotfl: I can touch anything as long as I have kitchen roll and/or gloves on.

Actually I'm the one that has to cut up all their food as well - liver, kidney, heart etc and although I still hate the smell, it doesn't bother me that much unlike OH who just boaks the whole time. :rotfl:

:rotfl::rotfl: What can I say - I'm obviously a very dedicated cat mother (i.e. a maniac). :p Spoiled cats. :rotfl:

It was actually OH's idea to start feeding the cats on the raw diet but he hates preparing the meat so I have to do it. Their stomachs can't tolerate commercial cat food anymore = more cat sick (lovely). So, easier to just cut up the offal and freeze it plus buy chicken legs/wings and chopped up muscle meat (usually turkey thigh, pork and beef).

Well had another manic Christmas Day at my sister's house - four children and my sister refusing to cook is not a good combination. My mum cooked half the dinner but drank too much wine and wandered off, leaving me to do it  (without telling me!). My sister has a rubbish oven and things take forever to cook and then when you turn your back they burn. Next year we're going down to exchange presents, have some snacks and drinks and then going home for dinner.

Big nephew liked his presents, especially Jenga, which we absolutely had to play right away. :D The twins were very happy with their ladybird baseball boots and wanted them on straight away (with the purple skirts they were wearing - an odd combination to say the least :rotfl:).

Gave little nephew (4) Mr and Mrs Potato Head, when he opened them he said "Huh! I didn't want Mr Potato Head!" And on seeing his sisters shoes "Why did you buy the twins shoes? I wanted shoes!" Apparently he was doing it all day and only wanted whatever his brother and sisters got! He even said to my mum when he got up and saw all his presents "I was expecting my presents to be all the way out the door" (perfectly straight face):rotfl: So, 4 isn't too young to experience middle child syndrome then!

OH got me quite a lot which was lovely and all things I liked - when I said it was too much he said he'd been planning and buying for four months to spread the cost. Nearly fainted - he appears to be going MSE. :D:T My mum got me some lovely Nina Ricci perfume and gave me quite a few things as well. :)

OH's gran and parents gave us some money so we've used that and some Amazon vouchers (from surveys) to buy a sound bar for our tv as the speakers aren't great. It's something we've been thinking about getting for a while as we use the tv a lot, especially with the ps3. So quite happy about that as well.

Have browsed the sales online but not too bothered. Could do with a new duvet and some bedding but won't rush out as have some vouchers anyway. Could also do with some new boots and OH needs trainers but again can't be bothered fighting through sales crowds.

Not back at work until Wednesday so just chilling out until then. :)

Just checking in again - worked 3 late shifts and have today and tomorrow off then back again for 2 lates then another 2 days off - so not bad.

Getting an extra payment for working late shift on NYE - was home about an hour before the bells as well. :j Just sat up with OH and watched a bit of tv then went to bed - don't like New Year much tbh.

Managed to get decent trainers for OH in Makro of all places - they had 20% off men's trainers so basically didn't pay VAT on them. :T Also bought a new microfibre duvet in the sale at Debenhams as had vouchers. Was surprised at the sale there as it wasn't great, basically just 20% off everything. Couldn't be bothered with the huge crowds - it was manic. *shudder*

OH and I have also booked a weekend away in March - found a good hotel deal on the Grabbit board. Only 2 nights in Carlisle but it looks nice and breakfast and dinner were included in the deal we got so not bad. Shouldn't have any travel costs due to the free travel I get with my job, so only a bit of spending money needed. :j

Thinking about starting a new thread for the new year so will have to have a look at my figures first.
