Well I've applied for one job this morning - finding it a hard slog with all the questions about why they should hire me, I'm quite rubbish at selling myself and find it difficult to answer the questions in a way that will help my application. Anyway got another two or three applications to try and complete today.

Also need to get my resignation letter sorted out as doubt work will pay me for much longer. OH wants me to go back to the doctor and get another line but I don't know if there is much point. Work will be terminating my contract sooner rather than later anyway if I don't resign.

Didn't do much yesterday, OH's friend cut my hair for me (free :j) and it's looking a lot tidier. I made the mistake of playing The Sims 3 and got hooked for about 3 hours. So not going near that today. :o

Need to clean out the litter tray and clean the bathroom today. Was going to take books back to library but it's horrible and wet so will leave that for another day. Might have to go out and get potatoes and teabags - the only things we desperately need.

Couldn't get to sleep last night for worrying about everything. Feeling very up and down atm.

Spent most of yesterday feeling very down and just not coping. :( Only managed to apply for one job and got a rejection email from them this morning. :(

Have a couple of applications I need to finish today but really worried in case I don't find anything. Just don't want to think about the future right now but know I have to. Haven't left the house in a week and that's probably not helped.

Really should go out today and get a couple of things we need but not sure if I can face it.

Keep plugging away Sashy, something will turn up :)

Could you take any tips from the Up Your Income board to earn extra cash in the meantime and keep your spirits up?

    Fingers crossed for you x

Thanks mac, managed to do a couple more job applications today. Will have another look at the Up Your Income board - already do daily clicks, surveys and reviewing but can see what else there is.

One of my friends came round after she finished work in the afternoon and we took a walk over to Morrisons for some stuff I needed. Bought some strawberry tarts as well. :)

Need to get organised and get some things for my sister's birthday next week as well as Easter things for the wee ones. Have got a book for my oldest nephew and ordered a Peppa Pig little library for younger nephew. Usually get them books and clothes rather than Easter eggs. Need to ask my sister if the twins need anything.

OH helped me write my resignation letter last night and is sending it off for me today. Feeling like a small weight has been lifted off my shoulders just knowing that I don't have to go back there. Just need to find a new job now, anything will do just to keep some income coming in.

Have an application to finish today and need to look for more jobs to apply to. Still feeling up and down but not as bad as on Monday. My next Dr's appt is a week today, so will see how I'm doing by then.

May go out later to pick up a few things and buy a birthday present for my sister but will see how things go. Horrible day here so that's not encouraging me to go out. :o

A bit of good news at last - have been invited to an "recruitment seminar" with a big retail company next week. I take it it will be some kind of group assessment but better than nothing and at least it's a start. :)

Didn't end up going out today as the weather was so horrible. Applied for another job today and have to finish another application tonight as closes tomorrow.

Making chicken casserole with cheese and herb dumplings for dinner. Dumplings always turn out nice but the sauce for the casserole is either too thin or gets too thick and burns. Grr.

Really need to go out today and get a couple of things we are running out of but it's horrible rain again. :( Got a fright earlier when I heard a thump on the window (we are a third floor flat!) - it was a magpie sitting on the windowsill and bumping the glass with its beak.:rotfl:

Need to have a look for more jobs to apply to as well. Not sure what else I will be doing today, really not in the mood for shopping though.

Hoping to get interviews for the last few jobs I've applied for, so keeping fingers crossed. Mostly been applying for retail atm as that's where I have most experience and at least I know I can do it well.

Finally made myself go out and get some shopping done yesterday. Spent under £30 in Asda so was pleased with that. Then bought some skirts for my nieces for Easter and some socks for OH in Matalan. Also managed to get some nice highball glasses in TK Maxx - £3.99 for four. :) Again in TK Maxx found some black Rocket Dog sandshoes for £6 - bargain. :j Manged to get a mirror for my sister for her birthday for £10 since she broke hers months ago and hasn't got round to buying a new one.

Not heard from any of the other jobs I've applied for, hoping to at least get interviews. Will have a look today for more to apply to.

Not got much planned today, OH is out tonight straight from work for a leaving do. Think I will put a loaf of bread on for later but other than that looks like I will be job hunting and browsing the internet.

Feeling a bit down, not seen anyone all day and OH still out " I won't be out late" - famous last words.

Highlight of my day was going to Morrisons to buy some chocolate! Not very MSE but was having major cravings. Didn't find anything new to apply for and haven't heard back from any other applications either.

Cuddled up with the cats watching "The Wedding Singer" for the millionth time and browsing the internet. I lead an exciting life.

  • You have cats to cuddle up too!!! This weekend I have NO plans to do anything, or money to do anything either. Although I was at the pub this evening for a couple of drinks, still feel crap having no plans.

How was the chocolate? Sending you huge hugs xxx
