    Hi There,
Single Dad here too (never married), been seperated for a good while, but always keep contact with my son. Hes always lived close and would often pop in even if it wasn't within our agreed contact arrangements, as hes 13, he choose where he wanted to be & when. Up till 2 week ago every thing was fine.... then right out of the blue got a phone call telling me his mother had comitted suicide. I won't go into the details of it all, but now he lives with me, which I'm happy about, but I certainly didn't want it to happen in this way. His mother has 2 other children who are older 21 & 24, who the eldest is sorting out her finances (No Will) as she has left behind life insurance and a house. I'm by no means on the poverty line and can easily support him, but just hope they do it in a fair manner as they are both a little strapped for cash, Does anyone know if these things are over seen to ensure its all done fair and square.

    a8amg,

I don't have any advice, but just wanted to say how sorry I am for everyone concerned.

    How is your son coping?
