MayHi, can anyone tell me who has ordered dollars through Crown Currency Exchange, do they deliver on time? I have quite a small window before going to Vegas in April to get the 1.6499 rate? Thanks very much
I have ordered several times from CCE and it has always been delivered bang on the date agree when ordering. However if you order for a Mondy delivery it's is likely to be delivered on the previous Saturday which saves a trip to the Post Office if you are not in to sign for it.
However............ you can do far better than $1.6499 and still with CCE. If you go to their cancelled contracts section you can get $1.705 for delivery after 16.03.10 or $1.7399 after 06.04.10

You will need to call them to get this rate and make sure you mention the cancelled contract rate rather than their standard rate.0 -
MayHi
I don't know if anyone knows about this but it's a great way to get an (almost) free upgrade in the Las Vegas Strip hotels.
They tell you all about it on this site (I cant post links at the moment) but hopefully you can work this out!

There is also a FREE ORLANDO GUIDE to download and a Vegas one should be on there soon. It's a new site but probably one to keep in mind for the future.
The $20 trick is mentioned on Page 1 of this topic and I don't think there is anyone on this thread that hasn't heard about it.0 -
AprilLuci, it says on CCE that the 1.705 is sold out now? Thanks for trying though0

As said before all casinos are free, except for the Playboy Club. As for pools there are ways and means of gaining access to lots of the pools in Vegas as long as you have the ba**s to try. We actually like doing it, spices up the day somewhat. A few examples: Encore does not swipe your room key, you only have to show it, so if you have stayed there before it's easy to get in. Flamingo, when it opens at 9am there is a large line waiting to get in because it is a real party pool, so when they open the gates everyone rushes past the security who never seem to look at keys. Tropicana, actually one of the best pools in Vegas but because no-one stays there never gets a mention. If you go to the far tower and go right down to pool level in the lift it lets you right out into the pool grounds. Paris has ever looked at our keys. Bellagio has a lift level that takes you below the security hut and right into the pool grounds, you need to be at the guest lifts by the convience store around from the buffet, and press LG. Have fun!!
and you say i have got bottle !!! :A:A
Great info :T:T:TBetter in my pocket than theirs :rotfl:0 -
AprilNo-one can really tell you if it's a better rate than the 222 offer, it will depend on your dates. For my dates the rates are exactly the same, it's the inclusions that are different. However the Celebrity Spa Suite isn't available on the above offer.[/QUOTE]
Thanks luci
Our dates for the MGM would be 2-6 May and the basic rates for those dates are: $110 and 3 @ $120
With both the 035 (Play Crazy 8's offer) and the 039 (222 offer) the rates are: $69 and 3 @ $76
I think we would probably benefit more from the 2 for 1 daily buffet and the 2 for 1 drinks inclusions, rather than the 2 free buffets and 2 free cocktails. It's unlikely that we would use the the Studio 54 or Tabu admission or gym access.
Should we book this or is it likely there will be better/cheaper offers if we wait until nearer the time?0 -

I would just book it now and keep checking for a better offer. Offers can be withdrawn and end earlier than stated.
If you book through the MGM site it is very easy to rebook and cancel online. I just did that yesterday and received confirmation of the cancellation.
I will keep posting any offers I get.0 -
AprilThank you again luci, you're a star! I'm going to do as you suggest and then I can cancel and re-book if anything better turns up.
I actually signed up some time ago for hotels to email me offers but apart from a couple from Harrahs, I've never received any.0 -
MayI know this cancelling and rebooking thing is a bit alien to us in the UK, and you can be a bit nervous the first time you do it, but it really is that easy.
We actually arrived in Vegas in May with 2 bookings for the same dates at the end of our 2 weeks there. We had booked the Carriage House, but weren't sure how accessible the strip was going to be with all the construction going on on Harmon so I booked a back up at Harrah's. Once we arrived and saw that there was no problem, I just went online and cancelled the Harrah's booking.
One thing you MUST do however is always read the T&C's of any offer to make sure it can be refunded if cancelled up to 48-72 hours before arrival. An offer I posted recently for PH had a NON-refundable deposit.0 -
MayJust one other thing. I would suggest taking a screen grab or at least write down the rates and inclusions for any MGM offers as the email confirmation doesn't list these. All it states is the amount of the first night's deposit.
Never had a problem, but taking a note is just a reminder seeing as you might be booking months in advance and it's easy to forget what the offer included.0 -

MGM Grand cancellations are straightforward and you are able to cancel online, however last year when we changed our Luxor booking I rang up and spoke to one of their people she said there is no need to 'cancel' just ring up and ask to be switched to the new promotion and they would amend the booking accordingly0
