SeptemberNew series on History at 8pm on Monday. Pawn stars follows the dealings of a pawn brokers in Vegas. I hope this is new and I haven't missed it posted before. The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.0

SeptemberI dont think they 100% guarantee it, but what else are the outer door things there for?
They gave us 100% our room request on the standard online booking form ie tower 1, high floor (28 was the highest of the non-penthouse floors....what are they like anyone?) and strip view......well you could see Monty, Aria etc....closest to a strip view they had.
I guess if you call them, they would sort you out.
We also asked for joining rooms when we went and we got them no problem (I dont think it would be to hard to get joining though cos ever 2 rooms is like it) they were great aswell cos we were bobbing in and out of each others rooms all the time so we could shut the first set of doors and leave our room doors open.0 -
One thing I will say is to take some Bounce sheets with you - I suffered terribly with static shocks there and the guys on here have said that carrying a tumble dryer sheet in your pocket helps with this.
(quick google gives this link: http://www.naturalnews.com/002693.html )
it's just a heads up - and thought it was worth a mention (i'm in two minds of having a cancerous cloth rubbing away in my pocket so close to my balls! (to be blunt))... but if it really does stop static shocks... hmm!

worth mentioning that anyone considering doing this should perhaps read into these dryer sheets a bit more - probably not the same 'risk' (?) as you're not using it for washing your clothes (hence coating your clothes with it's chemicals), but there have been claims that dryer sheets contain chemicals capable of giving you cancer

and now i have to take out my tip for this .
To be honest if you believe everything you read , everything gives you Cancer . The Sun gives you Cancer , Bacon gives you Cancer , major roads give you Cancer , Burnt toast gives you Cancer , being slightly overweight gives you Cancer , Beer gives you Cancer , Eco light bulbs give you Cancer now tumble dyer sheets give you Cancer .
if you followed every rule , and avoided everything these so called Cancer experts told you too you would live a long, boring , and very miserable life .
My 2 cents , rant over ...peace :A Y'allBetter in my pocket than theirs :rotfl:0 -

Aprili just had a bacon sandwich!!!
This made me laugh out loud.
And I agree with you, trets...everything gives you cancer...spending time in a smoky casino isn't the best thing on this front either, I would think...but fair enough if there are significant risks with tumble dryer sheets - though having used them in tumble driers for years, I figure we're pretty much already screwed.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -
SeptemberThey're only going in my shoes, and with the amount of walking I'll do, I reckon I'll burn off any chemicals.
Anyway, said chemicals have a long way to travel up my legs, if they can even get through my socks and soles of my feet :-D
I think I'd be more worried about the sheets if I used them with my clothes all the time, but I don't... so I think 10 days of having them in a pocket / shoes etc might be just about negligible :-D0 -
JuneI found the shocks reduced considerably by using a fabric conditioner in the wash of any clothes I take to Vegas to wear.
Also touching the wall or a wood door before calling the elevator
So got the static mostly under control, now just have to find something for the nosebleeds...lol0 -

Aprilmy husband has also found that hitting metal things rather than touching them gingerly helps - he thinks part of the problem with the shocks is the anticipation...plus if you whack your hand into something you kind of expect it to hurt so you don't notice the shock so much.
As for nosebleeds, saline nasal spray can really help with the dryness in Vegas...yes, it's kind of gross, but it does work.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0
