My husband has unearthed the Harrah's Total Rewards and MGM Mirage Players club cards that he signed up for last year, but never used. When I entered the number on the Harrah's website, to my surprise and delight, I found that we are given a discount on the room rates. This means that for a similar price to that we would have paid (without discount) for a Deluxe room at Imperial Palace, we could now stay the first three or four nights at another hotel before moving to the IP for the weekend and then onto the MGM Grand for our last four nights.

For exactly the same price we have a choice of:

    Classic room at Harrah's

    Deluxe room at Flamingo

South Tower Classic room at Bally's

Or, if it is worth it, we would consider paying the extra for a Luxury room at Harrah's, or a North Tower Deluxe at Bally's but the price of a GO Deluxe at Flamingo is more than we want to pay. Is it really worth paying the extra for the rooms? What are the differences between them - is it comfort/furnishings, size or where they are located?

Which of these do you think we should go for, or would three different hotels in ten days be too much of a hassle?

3 hotels in 10 days wouldn't be a hassle to us as we enjoy trying different hotels. Apart from once at the Palazzo when our room wasn't ready for hours, the longest we have been from leaving one room and stepping into the next one is 30 mins.

I would rate the hotels mentioned as Bally's with Harrah's and the Flamingo equal.

Bally's North Tower are renovated, the South Tower isn't, but has better views. However from what I have read it is easy to get an upgrade to the NT free of charge at check in.

I know ferf is a big Bally's fan. We've only stayed there once and really liked it. We had both North and South Towers booked and asked to have the bookings linked at check in, hoping for the North Tower. However we were offered an upgrade to a Junior Suite for $25/night which we took.

From what I've read of the Flamingo, it seems best to avoid any rooms apart from the Go rooms. Harrah's rooms seem to be quite small.

Hopefully a few more opinions will help you make up your mind.

    When are you going?

The Go rooms are nice-big light airy nice decor-loads of pics of them out on the web. Bathroom is lovely seperate shower-mood lighting -and my favourite feature -a tv screen in the bathroom mirror (Yes I'm a geek :) ) Go rooms also have big flatscreen tv IPOD ports and a sound system standard rooms have an ordinary box TV if those things are important to you.

I'm probably going to be staying at the Flamingo in March and I'm definitely having a Go room if I do-the deluxe rooms are a bit tired and ordinary.

In both September and December I booked Go room and in both cases got a free upgrade to a Go with view. The view was fantastic as it overlooks the Belagio fountains and there's a handy sofa by the window to lie back and watch the light show

In September we moved from Flamingo to IP- I walked down to IP about 8am -checked us in -went back to Flamingo -woke up the rest of the party-went and hand breakfast then checked out and rolled our cases down the Strip to the IP took all of 5 minutes. In fact it was a much shorter walk than the trek at the airport to transportation :)

    Hi jaymjay.

I also love Bally's - we've stayed in North Tower and also in a South Tower suite, and it is easy to get into North Tower at check in. Rooms are large and it's a good location. Staff are super friendly and we always feel comfortable here. We've not stayed at Harrahs or Flamingo though so hard to give you advice about choosing. I'd choose Bally's if it was me..... :)

I've also stayed at 3 hotels over 10 or 11 days before - it's a good way to see different parts of the strip without too many cabs - we're happy to move after a few days, but I would try to do at least 3 nights before moving on.....

You don't need the area code with that number.

Try 001 866 800 4558 That should do the trick.
