hi everyone , im booked to go in oct with the missus we have never been , were staying at planet hollywood , we are reading good and bad things about it , has anyone had experience of it. also can someone tell us if you have use of other hotels pools and casinos if we arent staying there

    thanks paul
As said before all casinos are free, except for the Playboy Club. As for pools there are ways and means of gaining access to lots of the pools in Vegas as long as you have the ba**s to try. We actually like doing it, spices up the day somewhat. A few examples: Encore does not swipe your room key, you only have to show it, so if you have stayed there before it's easy to get in. Flamingo, when it opens at 9am there is a large line waiting to get in because it is a real party pool, so when they open the gates everyone rushes past the security who never seem to look at keys. Tropicana, actually one of the best pools in Vegas but because no-one stays there never gets a mention. If you go to the far tower and go right down to pool level in the lift it lets you right out into the pool grounds. Paris has ever looked at our keys. Bellagio has a lift level that takes you below the security hut and right into the pool grounds, you need to be at the guest lifts by the convience store around from the buffet, and press LG. Have fun!!
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

Escalators are the worst for me....every time as soon as I put my hand on the rail I get zapped....interesting if it does work

Have a read of the first few posts on the thread - it deals with your questions in quite a lot of detail.

The main link for the following site is also on page 1 here, but for PH specifically...

Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

Also, our MGM Grand booking had gone down byt $40 for the same dates in june, 5 nights in a celeb spa suite is now $600 so if anyone else has made bookings under the same promo (the 222 promo) it may be worth having another look.

Sorry I'm a bit confused. Is the new lower rate still using the same promo, the 222 offer? If it is with a different offer can you post the promo code or a link?

I think $600 is expensive for a CSS for 5 nights. I've got a CSS for 4 nights at the beginning of May for $389. It was $456 before I changed it.

You really need to read all the replies since your last post or you might miss some gems of information.

I replied on Page 39 to your first post with a link to coupons at PH.

As for tipping $20 at check in and asking for a view, it never failed with us in 4-5 stays there.

I think we might have decided on where we are going to stay......

The first six nights at Imperial Palace (because it's so cheap) and the last four nights at MGM Grand (because my hubby would really like to stay there).

I'm not allowed to post a link yet but I've found an offer for MGM Grand using this code: MGM035 Could any of you Vegas experts be kind enough to check it out, please and tell me if it is a good deal or whether you know of a better one.1)

    MGM GRAND
    PLAY CRAZY 8'S
    MGM035
    BOOK THRU DECEMBER 2010
    OFFER EXPIRES 3/1/10
    FOR ALL
2FOR1 DAILY BUFFET, 2FOR1 DRINKS AT THE MAIN BARS, 2FOR1 ADMISSION TO 54 OR TABU, 2FOR1 GYM ADMISSION

Here is a link to the offer

    https://reservations.mgmmirage.com/bookingengine.aspx?host=promo&pid=001&code=MGM035

No-one can really tell you if it's a better rate than the 222 offer, it will depend on your dates. For my dates the rates are exactly the same, it's the inclusions that are different. However the Celebrity Spa Suite isn't available on the above offer.

yea it is the same 222 promo, booked it a few days ago and it was $648, was having a look again last night on the same promo and put our dates in and the weekday room rates were cheaper than when we booked it. its the weekend rates that push our price up, $148 fri and sat nights.
