MayI wouldn't worry about the other outlets. On one trip we thought they were better than the Premium Outlets, but every other time we have much preferred the Premium Outlets. In fact I think we'll give the LV Outlets a miss when we go back.0

my advice is to take things as you find them . if you run around trying to see everything you will not enjoy it , and you cannot fit it all in a week let alone 4 days .
Bellagio Fountains at night are the only thing i would make the special effort to catch , and would say are MUST see .
Shows are all subjective to your taste . but there are several that are firm thread favs
Jersey Boys is the one nobody comes out dissapointed from , Le Reve is my fav . others will give some opinions on their favs .Better in my pocket than theirs :rotfl:0 -

Glad you had great time.
I am with Luci about the malls, I have been to all of them lots of times and we now only bother with the Premium outlet as we think it offers best choice/value, although for handbags my wife often finds Macys the best0 -
Dont forget the outoftowners 10% discount in Macys. Buy 10% more handbags!!!illegitimi non carborundum0

MayHelp!...... I can't decide which hotel to stay in!!
I am going to vegas in May with the other half and just can't choose which hotel. We won't gamble loads, i will play a bit of poker and just wanted to look round, shows etc. We want a nice room and hotel and quite central if we can.
Been looking at the following -
Encore at the Wynn
Venetian
Bellagio
They all look good but i am a bit worried about how much its going to cost for food etc in these as everything seems so expensive!
Is it worth paying the extra for these hotels ?
Cheers

hey in exactly the same position as you although we have £900 in vouchers. getting almost identical prices to go in Aug but flying with continentail from Heathrow. Vey short stop in Houston to pick up new passengers. we do get 2 x 23kg luggage allowence each. We are going to stay at excalibur though for £1417 as its right for what we want this trip already stayed at other/ better hotels. I would rather fly with Delta then Virgin
If you haven't booked yet - and I am guessing you haven't as you are talking about having vouchers - you won't get 2 x 23kg with Virgin any more. They stopped that some time ago (but still honour old bookings that were made before they changed it).
The only way you will get 2 x 23kg each is if you are flying PE - and I suspect you won't be if you are on a Continental flight, as I'm not aware they have a PE equivalent product.
Also, I've never heard of stopping to pick up new passengers on your first point of entry into the US (Houston in your instance). I am sure you will have to disembark, go through immigration, clear customs, recheck your bags and get back on a plane to Vegas. The bonus of that is that you won't have the hassle of doing it again at LAS.
Just wanted to be sure you don't think it is a quick stop with a few extra bodies getting on - as I am sure it won't be.0 -

You don't have to eat where you are staying. There are too many other options and once you are out for the day you won't want to go back to the hotel just to eat.
Of those I prefer the Encore, but it is that farthest north. Bellagio is more central, but nothing special without a lake view room.0 -

Agree with Luci on everything she said - though we haven't stayed at Venetian/Palazzo yet (next trip is the plan). We rarely eat at our hotel, no matter where we are staying - just too many options and you probably won't stick close to your hotel much. Near to Encore are some of our favorites, Stripburger (especially with restaurant.com voucher), Grand Lux at Palazzo and Venetian and Peppermill...none are 'cheap' but are good value. Loads and loads of less expensive options around too.
You could consider splitting the trip between 2 hotels, depending on how long you are staying.
Whether it's worth it or not to stay in the nicer places is a personal thing...we've started splitting the trip - somewhere less expensive the first 5 or 6 nights and somewhere nicer the last 3...to us it's worth it, but to others it isn't - just depends on what you're used to and what you want out of the trip. I personally don't think Bellagio is all that (though agree that a lakeview room makes it just about worth it) - but others think it's fab...really subjective. Remember that 'nice' in Vegas will be a lot nicer than other places, if that makes sense...a far less expensive hotel in Vegas would be considered 'nice' compared to standards elsewhere.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0
