Hi guys - was wondering if anyone has experience of cancelling an Expedia booking if a cheaper offer comes along (even on Expedia!). Currently looking at the Vdara for April 2011 and can use a 10% Expedia voucher (needs to be used by 22 Nov) but ideally would like to book something now and hope to get a better deal after xmas or in January sales.

Smartervegas etc aren't listing many deals for my time yet (they are all end of Feb/March) so just looking a bit of comfort that you get your money back from Expedia no problems (inc taxes etc).

    Thanks

Anyone got any input on this ?
Not sure how it affects us Brits, but i been reading that for US and even Canadian's, if they win a single win of $1200 or more, then there is a 30% tax deducted from the win which then goes to the IRS ?????

Anyone ever won more than that in a single game and had problems cashing out ??? (on slots for instance...)
you dont have to pay being british, think you just had to show passport and fill out a form but you do get all your money there and then.

    Hey Guys!
Has anyone booked up for Sept 2011 yet? I have been looking at prices of flights and seem very expensive, I knew that they would go up a bit because of the taxes!
Has anyone managed to find a good deal?
Hi nancyo, we booked flights for our honeymoon next sept a fees weeks ago, flying from heathrow to LV on 7th sept and back from San Francisco on 21st (to fly back from LV was similar price) and it was £550 each direct with BA. What have you come up with so far?

    Hi all,

I'm looking for a bit of help booking a hotel in Las Vegas for a stag do please. We are staying 4 nights. We have a date set at the moment with flights arriving on 6th May 2011 and departing 10th May 2011.

We would like to stay at Planet Hollywood or the Luxor. I also like the look of the "Terribles" but aren't sure where it is in relation to the main strip.

There are 4 to 6 of us going and would prefer for 2 people to share a twin bedded room.

I have tried looking on Planet Hollywood's website but don't know what the suite i'm looking for would be called.

    Any help or advice appreciated.

P.S. Does anyone know Planet Hollywood's email address.

Have you read page one and used all the links to the cheaoer rates?

Of the 3 hotels you have mentioned PH is a different class and def the best of the 3 in terms of quality and location.

Terribles is a long way off the strip and IMO is not worth considering. I dont know anyone who has stayed there or who would want to, having said that I do eat at their buffet a lot as it is very very cheap

All hotels have twin bed rooms, they will be called 2 queen rooms and you will get 2 queen size beds in the room.

On my first visit to Vegas back in '94 I was lucky enough to win $1250 on a slot machine (5000 quarters).

When they came around to payout the win (the machine wouldn't pay out that much), they asked me for ID and started to fill out some paperwork. At the time I was working for the US Navy and only had my Navy ID Card on me.

When they told me I had to pay 30% tax I was gutted, but the lady noticed that I has a 'British' accent. I told her that I was, and that my passport was up in my room. I was up to my room in a flash to fetch it, and they paid out the whole amount. I still had to sign a slip of paper, and was informed that I had to declare it to the taxman when I got home.

Unfortunately, I lost that important slip of paper somewhere between that slot machine and my room;)

That was my first visit, and I think that win got me hooked. I'm off for my 12th visit in Feb, but I've never had the same luck since.

    Hey everyone :)

We're booked to fly out 14th July for two weeks, Manc-Vegas with Virgin. This will be our second trip...:j

Can anyone who has got married in Vegas give me some advice? We are currently looking at locations, and would like to do something a little more 'classy' (if that's the right word, not wanting to offend anyone, everyone is different and whats right for one person isn't for another). We are not religious at all, and would like an intimate ceremony.

There will only be the two of us and really would like to have some nice, if different, wedding photo's. Would also really like advice re: getting a wedding dress/rings over there (again,we don't really do tradition or fuss, more contemporary/alternative/vintage chic)

    Any advice gladly appreciated :)
