Regarding The Trump,
Stayed there in March this year on my 6th visit to Vegas, so some concrete facts for you.
It is NOT 10mins from the Strip. It is 5mins max to walk down the street to the Strip, which will bring you out opposite Wynn/Encore.
Alternatively, you can walk through Nordstrom and the Fashion Show Mall. Also, there is a free shuttle bus that operates on a loop between Trump and the end of the road (I believe it now goes down to Caesar's too) so if you're feeling lazy or you're in heels you can use this....unfrotunately we never discovered this until our last day!
The area that The Trump is in is COMPLETELY safe! I don't know why people who have never stayed there before are saying that it isn't. It is nowhere near the Sahara or Riviera... they are a good 10mis further on up the Strip.
The rooms are FABULOUS, best I've ever had in Vegas. Yes, there is no casino, but if this bothered you then you wouldn't be staying there would you? I really can't work out why so many people seem to hate the Trump, we found it great. Going back to Vegas next year, I would have rebooked to go there in a second but the wife wants to try The Cosmopolitan instead.
Don't worry about all the haters, you will have a great time at The Trump!
I dont think anyone has said they hate the Trump.
It is pefectly positioned for the Fashion show mall but not for anywhere else
Have to admit I did wonder about some of the comments about it being a dodgy area, I didnt think it was.
I still stand by my original post about a first time Vegas visitor staying more central strip in a "vegas" style hotel, but each to their own0 -
Ferf did you see my post about the parking garage ate the premium outlets.
Just to add, I dont think there are spaces anywhere else but I am fairly sure they do Valet parking0 -
December ( including Xmas and New Year )Hi everyone
We're looking to book our 4th Vegas trip for next April (didn't get to go this year booo...), anyway I've found a Fly Drive without accommodation with Thomas Cook from Manchester direct for 7 nights for £406 inc baggage and meals?! We don't need the car but would assume we don't even need to collect it, am I right in thinking this is too good to miss?!!0 -
October , NovemberHi, I have a slightly off topic question please. I set off for LV on Friday and realised that last friday my doctor prescribed me a 1mnth dose of medication. It isnt a medication I 'need' to take but it helps ease the symtoms off my problem and so I'd like to take them in my suitcase. I'll have a 21 day supply ie 42 capsules, will I need a letter from my doctor etc for this?
Any advice would be welcome, thankyou!0 -

October , NovemberI've done abit of research and found that although my capsules were prescribed they're available over the counter and in good healthfood stores so even if I dont get through with them I'll buy more there!0

December ( including Xmas and New Year )Just had a look at that deal and it is giving you an online discount of over £600, Wish I could go then from Manchester. Only 15kg of luggage each though and an extra £35 a head just to add another 5kg.
I know the luggage is a bit naff but in the grand scheme of things still worth it? Plus a holdall each is ok for hand luggage so we normally just cram those!0
