Bit of a weird one here but - does anyone know of any places to eat on/around the strip that specialise in gluten free food? Or atleast have any gluten free options on their menu?

    Cheers,
My daughter is Celiac so I know quite a lot about this. Restaurants in the U.S. are pretty good about cooking what you require. We used to just ask for chicken with nothing on and plenty of veg and potatos, then give them a plastic container of ready made up glutin free gravy to heat up. You can take your own powder to Vegas and make it up in your room before going to the restaurant. It's not really hard as long as you stick to fresh food. BTW in&out and Mcdonalds burgers are glutin free, just don't have the bun. Mon ami Gabi does really good fresh chicken and the frites are not coated in anything
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

The Wynn is just the best place to stay. Stayed there a couple of years ago when it first opened and like everyone is saying the rooms, service and amenities are brilliant. The standard rooms are just huge, bigger then any standard rooms in other hotels, including Mirage, Bellagio, etc. Just be careful if you want cheaper eats, not much choice at the Wynn!!!

Is that with any particular offers or straight in?

Am I right in thinking that they're both fairly "off strip"?

signature deal was the home suite home promo on their website (stay 7 nights and get 1 night free)

encore deal was booking through their website and using the promo code EARLYBOOKING to get 25% off

Hi Good People. Can I just ask some of about the amount of time you have to allow between change over flights in the US. we're looking at manchester to vegas via Philadelphia. the flight i was looking at has just 1hour 50 outbound and 1 hour 20 inbound,

also does anybody know if the tcx thomas cook flights still do the direct charter later in the year

Those times look a bit tight to me, especially on the way out where you will need to clear customs etc - it's probably do-able but I would be more comfortable with 2 / 2.5 hours. That's just me though - I'd rather hang around the airport for an extra hour than have to run through in a panic! I haven't flown via Philadelphia so not sure how big the airport is, whether you would have to change terminals etc, maybe someone else here will be able to advise further re. the specifics.

I'm exactly the same...if it's less than 2 hours I don't want to know - if I have multiple options, I normally choose the one with a 3-hour window...yeah, it can get a bit boring hanging around the airport, but so much better than worrying about missing a connection...but I'm a worrier at heart and will obsess about the connection the entire flight (and for about 48 hours before the flight). :)

We liked Wynn quite a lot - but Encore blew us away...bigger and nicer rooms (but the same beds and bedding that made for the best night's sleep ever...I still want one of the pillows!)

If your flights are all part of the same ticket - ie its what the airline comes back with then its whats called a "Married Sector" by the airline, which means the airline is confident of the connection. Should you miss it, they will get you on the next flight.

Thomas Cook (TCX) are indeed operating the direct flights from Manchester, from 31st March through October 27th (may extend into November). The flight is only once a week for 2010 though.

Sure, but what if there's no other flight that day? or if that flight is full? I know they will try to get you on a partner airline's flight...but it could be a significant wait...personally I'd rather book something with a bit more room to work with.

I've seen pairings that I know with every ounce of my being would be impossible to make based on previous experience - international connections with terminal changes and extremely short windows (shorter than it has always taken us to clear immigration and customs at the same airport - let alone get to a different terminal, clear security and get to the gate). The airline's minimum connection time doesn't always match reality. :)
