Vicky_74, Are you wanting to return to Manchester from RNO or LAS? I priced your dates with US Airways, outbound (change at Philadelphia) and returning from RNO (change at Pheonix) £526

The same flights on the Thursday are £496. I know they are dearer but thought it might save you from flying back to Vegas if you didn't need to.

Good luck, I hope you get fixed up soon.

Oh that's so nice of you to go to the effort, thanks, but we are deliberately flying back out of Las Vegas as we're doing a tour down the coast of California then across to LV for our honeymoon and will be staying there for the last 5 nights of our trip.

My partner and I have decided to go to Vegas for the first time for a two week holiday. We can either go middle of Sept or middle of Oct but cannot decide which will be best. We want to have a few days by the pool but don't want it to be too scorching hot. Which month do people think is the better month to go?

Also we are trying to choose a hotel but they all seem fabulous. Which is your favourite hotel?

Would it be possible to do a poll to show peoples favourite hotels like the one at the start of this post or is there one that has been done already as I could not find one?

Re shoes for Vegas. Tracy says 4" heels every time. (well that's me really saying that but I am sure she would agree with me). A woman should never be seen in public unless she is in heels, even the pool.:D

The funny thing is that from what you've said about Tracy and the photos you've posted, I don't think she and I could possibly be more different...but somehow I think I'd really like her...heels and all. :)

Bit of a weird one here but - does anyone know of any places to eat on/around the strip that specialise in gluten free food? Or atleast have any gluten free options on their menu?

    Cheers,

    This might help.

Not really sure where to stay in Vegas. I want somewhere posh, centrally located that will leave a lasting memory (and impress her!). A big bubbly bath would be excellent.

I've been thinking about the Bellagio, but only really because I'd heard of it and the fountains, but I've now just seen a good offer on the MGM Grand for about $275 for the 3 nights in a Celebrity Suite, with free buffets etc (222 offer).

I'd be happy to pay up to £100 a night for something special, but would also like to save as much as possible to spend elsewhere on the trip if possible.

Have I any chance of a £100 a night Suite (or room with posh bath!) at the Bellagio?

Would a suite in a 4 star place be better than a normal room in a 5 star place? What's the location of the MGM Grand like?

You'll not get a suite at Bellagio for £100...you should be able to get a standard room for that - though a lakeview room might push you over - just depends on your dates and whether you're there over a weekend. In my opinion (others will disagree), it's not worth staying at Bellagio unless it's a lakeview room - and the bath tub does not have bubbles I'm afraid - but it's quite deep...I suppose for a honeymoon it might be a different mindset. It's a very nice hotel by all accounts...I just didn't think it was all that fabulous except for the view. Have a look at their website for your dates to see what rates are about. Don't forget the promotions page:

    http://www.bellagio.com/hotel/registration.aspx

Though they may not have anything for your dates at the moment.

The CS suite was interesting to us (we booked it, even) but decided not to try it this time and cancelled...those rooms are (I've heard) undergoing renovations - which may mean you'll get a newly renovated room, or not...and in general if rooms are undergoing renovations, they're at the end of their useful life. I think mookybargirl mentioned several pages ago that the room they had was quite worn.

Maybe somewhere like Venetian would be worth looking into as well?

we're there in june and both the encore and signature were coming up with pretty good deals for us for the first 2 weeks in june

Is that with any particular offers or straight in?

Am I right in thinking that they're both fairly "off strip"?

Encore is connected to Wynn - Wynn is directly on the Strip, though a bit north for some people's tastes...the rooms are amazing...still no bubbles in the bath in the standard rooms, but all rooms are suites with all kinds of bells and whistles. If you're willing to go a bit north, it would probably be an amazing room for your wife to be.
