has anyone booked with cityandshow before? have got a price of £353 for 3 nights at the wynn mon-wed, which i thought didnt seem to bad, we are there for the sat and sun night to, but that really pushed the price up so would stay somewhere else for those nights.

Just had 4 nights at Wynn with Cityandshow for £264 no problems whatsoever.

    For those that asked

Here are a couple of other things we did.

I did get to eat at MAG for the first time on my birthday, we decided to sit just inside by the patio as it was so hot, we enjoyed it but I wasnt overly impresed with the food.

Got to use my Stripburger $25 off, again we enjoyed it but dont think I would go back.

A few shopping trips to the outlet malls and the fashion show, my wife bought the usual handbags and shoes.

We went down to Fremont st as we havent been for a few years, the light show was "American Pie" Don Maclean, that was good to sing along to, also had the pic taken in Binions with the 1,000,000 dollars.

It was quite a lazy trip this time though as we spent a lot of time around the pool.

Gambling went very well so we had a very cheap 10 days, even had enough cash left to pay the last hotel bill and didnt have to go to an ATM once.

The virgin flight was bearable as I took a very thick cushion to sit on, i wouldnt go on that flight without one, and even the IFE worked both ways for us.

As you can see I am not good at trip reports and I am going to try and stay off here as much as possible so keep up the good work all

Really ? On the news they were saying how August was one of the hottest on record. I was there from 23rd aug until the 3rd sep and it never fell below 90 in the day and we didnt feel a cool breeze, more like a fan oven. It did cool down in the middle of our 10 days to the mid 90s but was forecast 107 again the day we left

We were there 13th aug for 5 nights and it was sooo hot - late 90s at night there was a breeze but like you say it was a fan oven have never drunk so much water in my whole life!!!!

Jamie has worn a dress shirt (never a tie) at two meals in Vegas - Top of the World as a collared shirt is (or at least was when we booked) required...and The Steakhouse at Circus Circus...regarding the latter, he was reaaaaally displeased to find the rest of the male diners in t-shirts and polo shirts and shorts or jeans. :) I went all out once in putting on a non-denim skirt (this is very dressy for me outside work) for our first trip to Austin's and one of the tables near us was an atheletic team of some sort all in track suits. This ended our efforts to bother with dressing up for meals...though we do avoid the really high-end restaurants where I'd imagine more people adhere to a fairly rigid dress code (but for all I know they're in cut-offs and wife beaters. :)

I dressed up for our meal at MAG..well I put a collared short sleeve shirt and jeans on (thats dressed up for me) only to find most other guys in shorts and flip flops so wish I hadnt bothered.

The fact that you dont have to dress up in Vegas is one of the things that appeals to me

    hi guys

Just need a bit of advice from all you seasonsed vegas travellers.

My partner and i fly out to vegas on thursday, flights were only booked a couple of weeks ago but i wanted to ask - has anyone just turned up at one of the hotels and asked about their rates and got a good deal? I am debating whether to book something before we fly or just take a chance and negotiate a deal once we get there?

    Thanks everyone!!

LIke everyone else I wouldnt just turn up. I dodnt think you will get a deal. What prices can you get now for thursday? If they are good prices why gamble?

Thanks for this, sounds a good trip!
what did you play? Are they suspicious if you move your chips about a lot? I mean, the system I have over here with a pal, is when I win a mid-sized win at blackjack, give him half the chips to put away and not play with. When my chips are out, we often had 2 or 3 times what I started with without realising it. We didnt keep track of what we were putting away, which made for sensible decisions at the table. Would they get suspicious or is this a possible method for vegas also?

I played mostly Holdem or Three card poker, I often took my chips from table to table. I dont see a problem after all it is your money.

Did you buy any alcoholic/other drinks and was it included in the voucher total?

    Cheers

I think 'cool down' is all relative. For them they reckoned the temperatures were below average over that period - but still well hot by our standards:rotfl:
