Jamie has worn a dress shirt (never a tie) at two meals in Vegas - Top of the World as a collared shirt is (or at least was when we booked) required...and The Steakhouse at Circus Circus...regarding the latter, he was reaaaaally displeased to find the rest of the male diners in t-shirts and polo shirts and shorts or jeans. I went all out once in putting on a non-denim skirt (this is very dressy for me outside work) for our first trip to Austin's and one of the tables near us was an atheletic team of some sort all in track suits. This ended our efforts to bother with dressing up for meals...though we do avoid the really high-end restaurants where I'd imagine more people adhere to a fairly rigid dress code (but for all I know they're in cut-offs and wife beaters.

Great pics Boa, we go on Tuesday for a week, cant wait! May have to look up the furry critters when we get to the GC, I do love a bit of foreign wildlife.

I posted about Delta a few pages back. I like their flight from Gatwick to Atlanta. Internal flights can be a bit cramped and very busy.

Returning last week, our flight was delayed which meant we would have missed our connection, so they booked us onto the BA direct flight from LV

Yup, me too. I am dying to see some wild rattlers, but only lizards this time. I need to get out into the desert on my own a bit earlier in the day:D

Tony feels dressed up in a polo shirt and jeans. It's definitely his top of the range dress.

I just wanted to say thanks for this thread. Although I have only made 1 post (a week or so ago - to which I didn't even post a thanks about the replies - so thanks!), I have been lurking for a few months and pretty much ready every post so I think I'm as prepared as I'll ever be. We leave on Wed morning (after travelling to Manchester on Tues from Glasgow). So I expect I'll be too busy packing tomorrow to get back on here. It's our first trip and we're really looking forward to it so thanks again!!!

Now this is a little bug bare of mine. I don't mind people going around in the day wearing whatever they want, but fanny packs, wife beaters and flip flops in the evening? I much prefer the old Vegas style of dressing up for the evening, we always make an effort. Smart shoes, shirt and trousers for me, sometimes with a sport jacket and tie. Tracy in dress and heels. But then we like to do this. I would certainly frequent any casino that had a dress code. Bellagio had one of sorts when it first opened.
Anyway, just wear what you like. If you want to look like a slob, go for it, you will be in good company. If you want to make a statment, you will also find it hard to stand out

Like you Stoneman we always dress a bit smarter in the evening
T shirt and shorts with flip flops is a no go for us.I usually wear a pair of linen trousers and a smart top and hubby either 3/4 trousers or full length with a shirt
