I just had a look, its £1050 per person on Virgin Holidays website0 -

If you know you are flying Virgin then seat guru is pants compared to

English Rose is currently in the air to Vegas - first time she has flown that route in a month. (it's just crossed the north Wales coast - for those in Ireland, get outside in a 10-20 mins and wave ...too late, its now passed over Ireland!! (I hadn't refreshed the map! )0 -

You wont find out exactly which plane, for security reasons that info is only available the day before travel
The new Virgin planes start on Orlando route next April, so you could go that route, and take a connection from Orlando....Virgin America do Orlando- San Fran0 -
SeptemberCan I ask.. if you buy a gift certificate from restaurnt.com and then use it to buy a voucher for a paticular restaurant is that cheaper than using the BRIDAL or MENU codes?0

SeptemberI don't think v flyer (http://v-flyer.com) tells you which plane is going to be used on your flight next week, but its great for seeing which planes have been used on a particular route in the past and the airports trough which a particular plane has flown. Off the top of my head something like 6-8 different planes have flown the
Gatwick - LAS route in the fairly recent past.
I'll have to wait until nearer the time to find out then:hello: LORRAINE :hello:0 -
AugustBear in mind that internal Delta flights can be fairly cramped and basic. I think a lot of internal flights are the same, basically glorified bus routes!
The transatlantic leg is though great.
One and a half hours isn't much margin for error - see my final trip report - missed connection. BUT, they have transferred me to BA direct, so if it was me I would still risk it.
I flew Manchester to Vegas via Atlanta last week (came back yesterday) and found on the way there the international flight was basic and the internal flight was old (it looked inside and out, around 25/30yrs old...). While on the way back we had a brand new plane for the internal leg (AVOD, extra inch or two of leg room, which felt great), yet for the transatlantic leg got another basic Delta plane.
By basic I mean: TV's above the rows, little leg room (I'm only 5"10 but I found myself in an aisle seat stretching my right leg under the chair in front and putting my left leg stretched out in the aisle itself). The free blankets/pillows were a nice touch, but aside from that due to to the lack of legroom/having two big mates next to me, sleep was happening in 30minute increments every hour or two.
Does anybody else find it weird, how Internal Delta flights sometimes use new planes with extra leg room for 4hr legs, yet they use smaller, more cramped planes for 8/9hr legs?!
Edit: Must also say watch out for change-over times on the way back. We were supposed to have 1hr and 30m (land at 5:00pm) but instead we landed in Atlanta at 6:30pm, got to our boarding gate at 6:45pm and had to board straight away for a 7:30pm take off. No chance for a quick snack, drink or exploration. If we'd have had to check our bags again, chances are we would have probably missed the flight.0 -

MayHi again
Thanks all for the replies:) I know it's a hell of a lot more expensive going with the Virgin package, but I do have to weigh up the extra cost against the fact we've got about £2600 of vouchers we can use. So, in effect although it may cost (at the moment!!) £3400, we'd be getting a 5/6 night holiday to Vegas for £800 ish (or whatever I have to pay in taxes which can't be covered by vouchers).
That said, I've just looked on Expedia as mentioned earlier in one reply and that shows all of us for 5 nights in the 1 bed suite (has to be that not the junior) for £2.2k!!! I knew Virgin we're expensive but I didn't know they were that bad!
I think I'll give it another couple of days and see what happens...:)Te audire no possum. Musa sapientum fixa est in aure.0
