hi guys newbie here, just been checking for flights as me and the wife are going 27 may next year until 1 june, best flights im getting so far are

continental flight leaving hethrow at 9.30am landing in houston at 13.30pm, then leaving houston at 14.25 landing in vegas at 15.45pm

    homeward its

united airlines leaving vegas at 23.25pm landing in toronto at 06.47am then taking off at 8.50am landing at heathrow at 2100pm on the 2nd of june

these flights are costing £1047 = £523 each

so would love some input into if this is about as good as it gets for flights and alos flying with continental and united are they good carriers,

any info is very much appreciated as weve never done vegas before so we dont know what to expect

Try Zugu.co.uk - that are showing a few cheaper options, but still north of £500 each though. You could also try a few different days of the week - we found this reduced the price a lot (Wednesday to Wednesday).

If you find a good deal, see how much it is at Expedia. If only a few pounds more it could still work out cheaper as they don't charge credit card fees.

I like Delta out of Gatwick, but this trip is returning into Heathrow as it workedout cheaper still.

    Roundtrip: £519.37 avg/person (£1,038.74 total)
    - Expedia Special Fare
    09:15 Depart London (LHR)
Arrive Las Vegas (LAS) 16:47 Fri 27-May
    Duration: 15hr 32mn
    KLM 6005 / 5432
    Connect in Detroit (DTW)

    14:00 Depart Las Vegas (LAS)
Arrive London (LHR) 12:00 +1 day Wed 1-Jun
    Duration: 14hr 0mn
    KLM 5469 / 6062

found this on expedia - a few £ cheaper but you can also get cashback through quidco, and earn nectar points as well
    Connect in Detroit (DTW)
Book online or CALL 0871 222 9482 call cost

Not sure how much the airline matters, but if it's KLM it's almost certainly operated by Delta. I happen to like Delta across the pond.

thanks for the info guys, looking at the other prices from expedia, the only thing is that particular flight has a slightly longer connection and gets into vegas a little later, also my original post the homeward journey dosent depart vegas until 23.25, gaining us an extra day in vegas,

also im afraid im stuck with those dates, as they are the only dates we can go

£523 is still reasonable . have you tried the BA and AA sale before you book anything ?

got a price from the website boa recommended for delta flights with 2 hr 40 layover in detroit going out getting into vegas at 16.47

and a 1 hour 30 layover in new york coming home landing at 0925am in heathrow,

all this for 464 each so thats £928 in total, think im going to book this as ive heard good things about delta flights, and cant see the flights coming down more than this also the layovers are relatively short, the site it took me to ive never heard of though, bit paranoid about that these days

Where's the best place for discount/coupon codes for restaurant.com karlos?

Register with the site, tick the option to receive email updates and they will email them to you. Current code (60% off - discounts get higher as the month goes on but some restaurants sell out early) was emailed this morning and is MENU as previously posted.

any other good ones apart from stripburger?

Trets - maybe we could add a list of those restaurant.com restaurants folks here have tried and would recommend on page 1 as the question comes up quite a lot? What do you think?

Think this was my list last time...others have other recommendations too.

Is this the agents Travelup ? I was looking at their great prices then put a google search in and found some negative reports including this one http://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/ShowTopic-g1-i10702-k3864510-Travelup_stay_away-Air_Travel.html and some good, some bad here http://www.reviewcentre.com/reviews172703.html So I can't decide whether to risk booking with them. The saying if it sounds too good to be true - it usually is keeps coming into my mind. I think I may wait to see if anyone on here has used this agent, rather than risk having a load of aggro trying to get money back if they're not reliable
