Gotta go to Vegas next year, missed this year and need my fix. Virgin have a flight in July next year depart 3 July return 14th direct from Manchester, they are my preferred dates and it seems the only flight they have around those dates all for £745 each, should I book or wait to see what happens in the new year? Just found 26th June return 7th July £564, that is very tempting

Trets - maybe we could add a list of those restaurant.com restaurants folks here have tried and would recommend on page 1 as the question comes up quite a lot? What do you think?

Think this was my list last time...others have other recommendations too.

I second that - I actually have ferf's list saved in my favourites for future reference but it would be good to have one list of good (and maybe bad?) restaurant.com choices all in one place on here.

I thought this may be of interest to some of you. I subscribe to vegas4locals newsletter and have just realised that the auctions they hold on ebay for tickets to shows and events can be bid on by us in UK. They will either post them to uk for $2.99 or to your accommodation in Vegas if you win the bidding http://stores.ebay.com/VEGAS4LOCALS Could be a bit of fun.

Before having anything posted to a Vegas hotel may be worth checking the fees for them to accept and process post. I know some charge a fee for receiving anything for guests.

Well this I hope will be the last trip report from Boa (unless I get around the posting a few photo's sometime).

Checked-out of the Carriage House at 10:30 ish, having used up the cereals and bacon in the fridge. $519 for the seven nights.

Left the car with them and walked-up to imperial palace to see the motor show. $4 tickets from Tix4Tonight (can be used anytime). If you're interested in motors there are some wonderful cars to see and it's well worth $4.

We then went and had lunch in the KGB Burger bar in Harrahs. The burgers were excellent, as were the milkshakes. If you like a beer, try their Fat Tire bottled ale, really nice. Best of all, you can get a but one get one free vouchers (for the burgers) from the Harrahs website. Service was a bit slow, but I would recommend this one - especially with the voucher.

Running a bit late, collected the car and dropped it off at the car hire centre. Very straightforward.

OK, now for the problems. Arrived at the Delta checkin to find long lines, clearly some sort of problem. After standing in one line for half an hour was told that the Minneapolis flight was delayed and we would miss our Heathrow connection. After standing in another line for 40 minutes Boa was ready for a row and a world of grief. Well, a lovely lady said the Computer had transferred us to the 20:40 BA flight direct to Heathrow - result.

It took another half an hour while she went through Air France as an intermediary, but the Boa's are currently sat at the BA gate in Terminal 2, with assigned seats and, as you can tell, free WiFi to pass the time (2hrs 40 to go). We arrive back about two hours later than planned, but no changes.

Must make sure Delta credit my Skymiles though!:D

got a price from the website boa recommended for delta flights with 2 hr 40 layover in detroit going out getting into vegas at 16.47

and a 1 hour 30 layover in new york coming home landing at 0925am in heathrow,

all this for 464 each so thats £928 in total, think im going to book this as ive heard good things about delta flights, and cant see the flights coming down more than this also the layovers are relatively short, the site it took me to ive never heard of though, bit paranoid about that these days

Bear in mind that internal Delta flights can be fairly cramped and basic. I think a lot of internal flights are the same, basically glorified bus routes!

The transatlantic leg is though great.

One and a half hours isn't much margin for error - see my final trip report - missed connection. BUT, they have transferred me to BA direct, so if it was me I would still risk it.

I've really enjoyed your report, Boa - sad it is coming to an end! Thanks for the review of KGB as it was on our list of to trys for October (with voucher we saw posted here, of course). :) Would love to see photos if you get a chance!
