    Hi again

Thanks all for the replies:) I know it's a hell of a lot more expensive going with the Virgin package, but I do have to weigh up the extra cost against the fact we've got about £2600 of vouchers we can use. So, in effect although it may cost (at the moment!!) £3400, we'd be getting a 5/6 night holiday to Vegas for £800 ish (or whatever I have to pay in taxes which can't be covered by vouchers).

That said, I've just looked on Expedia as mentioned earlier in one reply and that shows all of us for 5 nights in the 1 bed suite (has to be that not the junior) for £2.2k!!! I knew Virgin we're expensive but I didn't know they were that bad!

I think I'll give it another couple of days and see what happens...:)

I'd just go for it, I paid for our last vegas holiday for a fortnight at MGM (wish I'd gone to Ceasers now) with Tesco Vouchers. The actual price was extortionate but what the hey, the vouchers covered most of it so object achieved.

I would never pay direct for a virgin holiday to the states...they really do take the proverbial.

Made it back about 6pm. The BA flight was fine and arrived at 2:30 on schedule. They had problems with the in-flight entertainment and had to re-boot the system twice.

Good luck to everyone still waiting to head out or planning - have a wonderful time - we did!

Left the car with them and walked-up to imperial palace to see the motor show. $4 tickets from Tix4Tonight (can be used anytime). If you're interested in motors there are some wonderful cars to see and it's well worth $4.

Thanks for this Boa, it doesn't get mentioned much so I wasn't sure whether there would be discounts available but the other half LOVES anything car related and really wants to go take a look - for $4 we'll definately go and check it out. Good to hear it's worth a trip too.

Can I ask.. if you buy a gift certificate from restaurnt.com and then use it to buy a voucher for a paticular restaurant is that cheaper than using the BRIDAL or MENU codes?

Buying the generic restaurant.com certificates only makes it cheaper to purchase a cert for a specific place if you buy them using one of the 80% off codes which come up later in the month then wait until the new batch of certs come out on the 1st of the next month and use it for a restaurant like Stripburger which always sells out before the higher discounts become available. So you could buy a generic $25 gift certificate for 80% off $10 (i.e. $2) rather than 50% or 60% off $10 (i.e. $4 or $5) which is the best you will ever get with the codes they release at the start of the month. Does that make sense?

If you're not looking for Stripburger, which is easily the fastest selling of all the restaurant.com certs for Vegas, then you might as well hang fire until an 80% off code comes up and buy whatever vouchers you want in the normal way rather than faffing about with buying the gift certificate first.

Don't worry about the flight numbers. I have now used the one ESTA for two separate trips this year - one to Dallas and one to Vegas. I originally applied for a completely different trip that I did not in the end make. So, once it's approved then it's valid for multiple trips and you don't need to update the flights.

In any case, they are only interested in your point of entry to the USA, theyr'e not checked for internal flights - only at the 'port' of arrival in the US.

Hope you have a great trip

Be aware that you can only use the generic r.com cert for certain restaurants and I don't think you can use it for Stripburger. The option doesn't come up.

Don't let him take a credit card, many of the cars are for sale. I think the most expensive was around $7.5m.:rotfl:

There is a real mixture of european (lots of Rollers) and american cars - some are absolutely stunning!

You can usually get free tickets for the Auto Collection at the IP, either in magazines or handed out between the IP and Carnaval Court.

Free tickets are available once you get there, like Luci said - but also can be printed in advance.

We went a few years ago, it's pretty cool even if you're not a big car fan (I'm not and I enjoyed it).
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?
