I'm going to have a problem making the bill up to $50 to use my voucher as it's the minimum spend and doesn't include drinks...I'm sure I'll manage though if I starve myself before hand

We had coffee making facilities at the Flamingo (cups sachets of coffee/milk/sugar and a kettle)
Friend of mine had a coffee maker at NY NY but don't know what room she had
Off strip the Orleans and Goldcoast have coffee makers

Orleans do still have a coffe maker but it can only be used with their coffee as it only does one cup at a time (no jug)

I went to get the cheapest from Walmart which used to be $10, it is now reduced to £7 but OOS everywhere, had to pay £16 this trip but still worth it to save having to go downstairs every time

Just got in after my 10 days in Vegas. Will try and stay away from this board again now as prob wont go back until 2012.

Had 4 nights at Wynn and they knew it was my birthday so sent me a plate of fantastic chocolates.

The room was great but the place is to upmarket for me.

2 nights comped at Orleans in middle, had a straight flush on Texas hold em game (against the house) won me just under $500 with only $20 staked.

Last 4 nights at MGM in Bungalow suite, the room is huge but I still dont like the MGM it is to big.

I still went back to gamble at the Orleans even when staying at MGM, I think the slots are looser, and it is a much friendler place than most on strip casinos..

GOD was it hot, 100 plus most days, 108 one day which was only 1 or 2 degrees off the record according to weather man on tv. They are now approaching 130 consecutive dry days, the record is 150, set in 1950 and they are saying it could well be broken this year.

Wont bore you with any more details except we did go to see KA, I am not into cirque type shows but that show is Amazing, the stage alone was worth seeing.

Hi we stayed at the Hotel at MB in July, there was a guy loitering around the area between the Hotel and the Mandalay Bay one night around 10pm (sorry forgot his name, he was entertainment manager or such) he was trying to get us to go up there and said he would get us in for free. As it was our 2nd night we were still jet lagged so we were on way to bed but he said come back any night and gave me his card.
When we went back a few nights later, I just said that XX said he would get us in, he was nowhere to be seen, but they let us in free, this was about midnight.

Views were spectacular even from the lift on the way up to the lounge!! there was a DJ on, I thought it was quite a young crowd, but well worth a look
we went up around 5pm and stayed for af ew hours and didnt pay then
    was nice
but the drinks to be honest would bankrupt the average person

Welcome back, photome...glad you had a good trip! I totally get what you say about Wynn being too upmarket- it is for us too, in theory...but for whatever reason we never feel out of place there...whereas we did when we stayed at Bellagio - weird.

Anyway, like TangoBunny I'd love to hear more - never bored with reading what people get up to in Vegas. Thanks for the heads up on the WalMart coffee maker crisis! I will be interested to see if they have any more of the $9.96 models we are used to when we go in October.
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

I second that. I never can remember what I've used and what I haven't. This is going to save me taxing my poor old brain cells.:T:T

Ive been reading the last few pages for a few days now, and im really excited
I really want to go to LasVegas, no plans as of yet (dont know who would come with me haha)
I was looking at doing a Trek America tour from NY to LA (goes go Las Vegas for 1 or 2 night) but they are expensive, and also worried about how much walking and activities with my Arthritis
So then started to look at just a holiday to Las Vegas, or LA, (or Both) ... or NY - still cant decide where to go!

Im also still worried about how big everything is - walking distances and getting around!
What time of year is best to go too? not tooo hot.
Also need to look at money and best deals and how long to go for, I see a lot just go for 3-5 days etc, Is that enough? Was gona go on a long holiday and go to LA too maybe
So much i want to do haha
