yes there is a lot of walking when you visit Vegas . even if it is just in your hotel .
April and May are not to hot . Sept and Oct are also popular for this reason .
3-5 days is long enough for some but as a first time visitor , i would aim for a week if you want to do a fair amount of stuff. 3-5 days would be okay though and probably better if combined with LA IMO
Thats why im worried as dont know how ill manage, I suppose if i do go for longer, can do less each day so i dont over do it, just worried walking to hotel and other places too. or how easy it is to get around
Was looking for around May next yr ish too. or depends on time off from workand seeing what friends can afford to go. or even how much it will cost inc spending money. S
So much to think about, but really want to go.Make £10 a day Challenge June - £1700 -

You can rent mobility scooters really easily - you see tons of people using them in Vegas. Everything is quite accessible using the scooters (though in a few casinos the walkways between the slots can be a bit narrow if there are a lot of people sitting at the slots). Something to consider. Looks like you can get them for about $140 for a week and they deliver to your hotel's bell desk (returned the same place).

The bonus is the old certificates I'd mentally written off - either I'd given them away as they were going to expire before our next trip or they had just expired - looking at my account it shows several I thought were long expired (including one from 2006)...so since now they don't expire, those are back in play. Cool.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -
October , NovemberFerf, I got an email last week saying that they no longer expired. I though I posted on here about it, possibly not.
I just assumed everyone who bought certs got the same email.0 -

Hi - yes, I did see that post and also got the email, but because I hadn't realised that they had cleared out all of the used certificates instead of having to keep track myself, I didn't have any way to know which of the old ones were still available to be used, if that makes sense? Whenever I gave any away I marked them used, so until they cleared out all the actually used ones, I wasn't sure which ones I had used, which ones I had given away and had been used, which ones I'd given away but hadn't been used, etc.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -
October , NovemberRight, I'm with you now. I'm really glad they have decided to do this. It is a much better system.0

AugustOn the issue of warmth in Vegas, almost everybody we talked to this year (we went Aug 25th - Sept 1st) said that July was ridiculously hot and a record month, yet August was surprisingly cold this year considering the previous month they had. The saturday, sunday and monday we were there it was probably in the mid-80's during the day with a really nice, relaxing cool breeze to boot and almost every American/Las Vegas native we met and talked to said that was 'cold' for them!0

January , FebruaryI haven't flown Delta in years (I have my issues with them) but if they are anything like other airlines like AA, if you're selective about which flights you book you can have a better shot at a better plane...AA flies 767s on some of the transatlantic routes - which I think would mean TVs above the rows, etc...but we specifically choose flights where they show a 777 being used and avoid that sort of issue. No guarantee, they could change the plane used...but better to have a chance at a better plane we think (so far have never been disappointed). When we're booking flights we're both specifically looking at the plane type and ignore those on smaller planes.
Hi
The Delta flights out of Gatwick to Atlanta use the 767. These have seat-back entertainment systems. Also, the side rows are only 2 seats wide, as opposed to 3 on the 777 and 747's - which I think is much better. The Delta seats are also leather and seem very roomy when compared to the BA 777.:)The force is strong in this one!0 -

We were there exactly the same time. Walking aroung the first evening was like being in a fan-oven, but much more comfortable when it cooled down a bit.
When we went walking up around Mt. Charleston it was in the 60s, but still felt pleasantly warm - enough to get a sweat on up the steeper bits:DThe force is strong in this one!0
