    Hi

The Delta flights out of Gatwick to Atlanta use the 767. These have seat-back entertainment systems. Also, the side rows are only 2 seats wide, as opposed to 3 on the 777 and 747's - which I think is much better. The Delta seats are also leather and seem very roomy when compared to the BA 777.:)

Good to know - the AA 777 configuration is 2-5-2 which we love (so far always getting a pair). :) Just shows it's worth researching which airlines fly which planes on which routes to get the best of what's out there and what to avoid. It drives me kinda crazy when people (not here, but elsewhere online) label an airline bad because they flew on one type of plane when the airline has plenty of options on another type of plane...just have to choose wisely. :)
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

I agree completely. I always use Seatguru and with Delta if you join Skymiles you can go on-line and pre-select your seats way in advance (not the 'premium exit type though). After this trip (and with my previous one to Dallas) I can transfer my wife's Skymiles to my account which gives me enough for Silver status, with free upgrades and faster boarding etc.:D

Loved your trip reports...I've never been to Ross's but judging by your many trips it's well worth a visit

Looking at the map on the stores website I'm assuming the one you visited was this one
    Las Vegas Strip
    3001 Las Vegas Blvd S
    Las Vegas, NV
    (702) 731-3361

Is it far from the FSM

    Hi Tangobunny,

There are now two Ross's Dress For Less on the strip, the one you mentioned is the FSM side of the Riviera and is about 10 minutes brisk walk away from FSM. There is a new store recently opened between MGM and Planet Hollywood located on 1st and 2nd Floors. We prefer the Riviera store as it's larger with "supermarket trolleys" instead of large net bags at the MGM store.

On your first visit you will probably think that there is to much stock for the floorspace and this may put you off. Dont be put off.
Two tips - be patient and give youself a couple of hours to look through the stock. There are some good brand/designer names to be found and the prices are usually better than the malls.:j

It is a stunning show we think - have seen it twice and would happily go again. The only thing I would say is it is very, very different from other Cirque shows (maybe more in line with Viva Elvis but haven't seen that one)...not to say you won't like others, but just be prepared for more acrobatics and circus-y sort of stuff. We took the in-laws to Love, then Mystere on the same trip...big mistake to do them in that order as Mystere just seemed pretty lame in comparison (had seen it before too, but not in the same trip as Love). :)

Hi Ferf, thanks for this - I'd have expected Love to be similar to other Cirque shows, with you seeing two on the same holiday and explaining the differences will make us check all the reviews and see what is the best. Criss Angel maybe  but surely it cant be all that bad !!

This was me...the too much stock for the floorspace...and too many other people. :) My husband and I ate at Peppermill and I said I wanted to check this place out - we agreed to meet back at our room at Encore in 2 hours - to give me enough time if I needed it to try stuff on. I walked in...did one quick circuit, and walked back out. Sadly for me, I have limited patience for shopping and have NO patience if it's really crowded too...if it were pretty quiet, I could have had a bit of a look but as it was you couldn't walk down any aisle due to people and shopping carts blocking every one of them. So more bargains for those of you who can cope with it. I may try to check out one of the off-strip locations as I bet they are more quiet, but like any store of this nature, it's usually feast or famine it seems...just really depends on the individual shopper and what they are after.

Will do - there is a way to transfer between family - I think it costs $30, then 0.01cents per mile, or something like that.

During August they were doing a promo of 50% more miles if you gifted them - but it ended too soon for our trip

Another tip - we like to go in the morning when we are at our freshest, also no feasting in the Peppermill before :p - you have to nimble on your feet to manouvre up and down those aisles.:o

We are usually shopping for our son and two daughters at home, so we probably average $1000 on shopping per trip - recalling our firsrt visit to LV staying at the Stratosphere we walked the strip our first night and popped in for a bit of a look - spent almost $200, the sales assistant asked if was our last day, she looked shocked when we told her we had just arrived. :D

I've with ferf on Ross. It's a bit of a jumble, like TK Maxx, and I can't be hassled to trawl through the rails of mixed up stuff.

However........... I did get a down-filled ski jacket jacket for about $40 when the label said $180. That was just because it was at the end of a rail and in clear view. Would never have found it if I'd had to rake through the rails. I also got some towels, but we haven't bothered to visit the last few trips as neither of us have the patience for that type of shop.

I believe there are some great bargains to be had on designer stuff if you have the tenacity.

Looking forward to having a look at the new one though.
