If you are booking direct with Virgin you only need to pay a small amount on the credit card to have Section 75 cover, as low as £10. The value of the goods (holiday) has to be between £100 and £30,000.

Good point luci, however from memory, VS online (make sure the OP uses Quidco as well for additional 2% or 3% off the flight cost, not the tax) require full payment with booking, and like most online shops, you only get to enter one card. Possibly call to make booking on two cards, but you forgo the quidco.

VHols (did anyone notice the 20% discount available this month) only require a deposit up front, so you could pay that with card, and pay the rest on debit card.

Oh, and did I forget to mention....

They sent me a card, that admittedly i didnt take much notice of, but it did register that 20% for bookings made in July was a pretty good deal. Try calling them up and asking for the deal - say the card with the 20% details on it was thrown away (which it was!!!).

I assume Lorraine that you've tried all the usuals, including Karma insurance? We used them last year as they were no extra charge for pre-existing conditions. Could the British Heart Foundation not recommend someone?

    Just tried Karma £411

hey was it tang who asked about insurance?
my dad had a heart attack a few yrs ago & is on loads of tablets - almost 12 or 13 a day and he got his last travel insurance through thomson travel agents - it was for a cruise (Caribbean) and it was just over £150.

they could be worth a try if all else fails! good luck with it anyways - always better to pay it just to be on the safe side xo

Yes it was me...I'll try them now

Sorry if this is a repeat but has anyone bought any of these voucher deals for LV? The offer looks good but not sure of the restaurants, and one with any feedback??;)

Everyone here uses r.com vouchers. Search this thread, and last years, for recommendations eg Mon ami Gabi, Origin India. Also tripadvisor for recommendations.

Make sure you buy the vouchers using a code for upto 80% off.

Heres my own recommendation for everyone.........

Going to Vegas in less than a month now, and one of the things I've left till the last minute is the mullah, the wonga, the dollar, the money! Would you experienced travellers recommend Cash (a lot in big bills) or Travellers Cheques for a 6 day holiday involving six fellas between the ages of 21-25, we are all looking at taking around a $1000 dollars each. Cheers.
