Also, on another subject - car hire. We'll be booking with Dollar through Netflights. Anyone know if it is ok to drive into California? We're thinking of driving to Laughlin, then up to Primm on the way back, cutting up in a sort of L-shape on the road that goes into California. Anyone know if insurance allows this?

    Dollar's general T&Cs state:

    J. Geographic Limitations: At most locations, driving is restricted to the continental United States and Canada....Please refer to the Local Policies for specific information regarding geographic limitations at the location where you intend to rent a DOLLAR vehicle.

    http://www.dollar.com/AboutUs/GeneralPolicies.aspx

I don't think you would hve any problems driving into California.
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

Luci --> just wondering if the offers have dried up lately or are you not getting time to post them? :)

No the offers haven't dried up although I don't think there have been as much as usual.

There was great debate on here about posting the offers and various suggestions such as putting them on a spreadsheet or Google document or in a different format.

I'm not prepared to faff about with anything like that as it takes long enough to post them the way I was doing. However it seemed that people didn't like it done that way so I've stopped posting offers on here.

That's such a shame that you no longer feel able to post the offers you find due to the interference of some other posters. If they don't like what you post they really don't have to read them do they? I for one love your findings. I expect the same small minded people complain about some tv programme content but don't think to switch over:mad:

Hi everyone, my bf and I have finalised our somewhat sketchy wedding details! I dont see there being a problem but please point out any obvious flaws! We intend to arrive at about 2pm in Vegas on Tue 5th october. Go to our hotel, get ready and head out about 5-6pm to the marriage bureau to get our wedding license. Then, we will head straight over to a chapel (unsure which!), have them provide the witness, get hitched and spend a night on the town! We intended to wait til the 6th to get married but as we're only there for 4 days and 1 of those is a g/canyon trip I'd rather get it "over and done with" so to speak!!! obviously if we have any major delays with flights etc we can alway put it off to the 6th. I just wanted to check if there should be any problems going straight to the bureau then a chapel? I'm abit concerned of looking abit silly queueing for our license in my wedding dress but I'm sure I wont be the first or last!

    Thankyou, Laura!

well thats what we did . Taxi to Bureau , got license , walked to Golden Nugget , Taxi to Little White Wedding Chapel , Married , Limo back to hotel . we then had a helicopter trip over Grand Canyon around 4pm .

don't worry about wedding dress at the Bureau . some people had on full wedding gear , some had on everyday clothes , no one batted a eyelid.

doing it straight off the plane would not be my choice . Jet lag will catch up with you the first night . my advice would be land , get check in and unpacked . get freshened up and chill and have a early dinner around 6:30pm . i always start to wilt around 9pm first night but hey you might have more energy than me .

getting married will only take a few hours if you want a quick and easy wedding .
Better in my pocket than theirs :rotfl:
