I'm totally there.
Thanks pebbles - always happy to give a new place a shot with a 2-for-1!¬Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -

cityandshow often have very good deals on the high end hotels in Vegas, I stayed 3 nights at Mandarin Oriental a few weeks back, booked with cityandshow for £220 total, and that included a Fri/Sat night and a cabana.
Hotel was lovely, service great...only downside was Wifi cost $18 for 24hrs
I just booked 4 nights at the Imperial Palace with cityandshow.com - but i did have to ring up as i hadn't received my confirmation email even after 2 hours and the customer services lady was very nice, polite and helpful and sent me the email whilst i was on the phone.
I am now booked up wooooohooooooo :j0 -

Did you check prices to book direct with Imperial Palace first? cityandshow normally has great deals on the high-end places, not sure about the more standard places.
If you can still cancel, may be worth checking these for your dates:
http://www.harrahs.com/hot-deals/
http://www.harrahs.com/vegasvacation/
Prices are per night plus tax (you can see the total once you've selected the room you're looking for, but before you book).
If you can't cancel, then no point in looking just in case you'll be disappointed.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -

Ooooh no don't do this to me!! There have been 3 of us researching all week for best deals and thought we'd found it with cityandshow! lol it was £149 for 4 nights from 16th April 2011 (hopefully getting 2% cashback from Quidco too)
I booked on credit card about 3hours ago so should be able to cancel if need be i guess???
I shall check out harrahs now.......
(EDIT - forgot to say that its a Deluxe room at the Imperial Palace i've booked)

AprilI hadn't processed that your trip was so far in the future - the best hotel deals booking direct probably will not be out for some time, so if you're happy with the price you paid then that's all that really matters.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0

Oh ok, well i was debating on whether to book now or nearer the time but in the end i chose now!
I am happy with what i paid and happy with location - friends are getting married at Bellagio and i'm staying at Imperial Palace, so from what i can gather its not TOO far away...??
Paid a lot for my flight so i'm defo happy with a £149 room! I'm staying there on my own at the mo but a friend may join me in my room so it will only be £75 for 4 nights per person, and that defo is a bargain in my opinion!!!!0 -

IMO you have made a boob, booking IP so far in advance, but I guess you dont want to hear that.
IP is at the bottom of the scale when it comes to on strip hotels, still ok though, but is often avaialable at about $25/$30 a night or £18 to £20
If it cost nothing to cancel at City and Show i would cancel.
I am going in 5 weeks time and altho I have multiple hotels booked, I havent made my final choice yet and am still open to booking something else if a deal comes along
Edit
No its not too far away.0 -
AprilI need to be near the Bellagio though and if i leave/left booking the imperial palace until nearer the time and they are booked up or work out more expensive then i will be really annoyed....... not sure what to do now0
