    Thanks to all the advice.
Taking the kids as were getting married out there. After Vegas were travelling to San Francisco via san diego,LA, and Yoshemite.
I know Vegas isnt really the best place for kids but we thought it would be a good place to get married and have a holiday at the same time. Weve both been to Vegas before, i thought that during the day the kids will love the swimming pool, m amd m world and some rides/circus circus. Noticed there isnt a waterpark any longer. At night go for meals before putting the little ones to bed. Some nites were stay in and then get the grandparents to look after them a couple of nights.
Sometimes i have my reservations but weve booked our flights now. Looking towards MGM as stayed there before but they only cater for one child per room. Excalibur is an option as kid friendlier and cheaper but getting married. May change hotels half way through but this also has its downside as having to pack up again.
Anyone here taken the children to Vegas to get married?

I did reply when you posted before about kids

What do you mean MGM only cater for 1 child?

You dont pay extra for kids at MGM and you can get a 2 queen room and put both kids in the same bed.

24 hour buffet pass price has risen again. $39.99 for TR members and $45.99 for others. I don't think it's worth bothering with at all now.

I agree its not worth it anymore especially if you have the ACG and or the LVA book as loads of 2 for 1 buffets between them

Doubt there is any chance to get it guaranteed, you could request it when you make the reservation though...it's possible when you check in that there will be adjoining rooms available, but it's a risk. Went with the in-laws and were across the hall which was fine (until we had to move rooms due to a plumbing issue and then we were on the same floor but in different wings. I would imagine same floor would be very likely, but beyond that it would be the luck of the draw and you're not staying long enough that you would likely want to arrange to switch rooms if something else came available (but maybe it's an option).

If it's really an issue, can 2 of you not share a queen sized bed (maybe rotate so only one person has to share 2 nights)? Bearing in mind that a queen in the US is larger than a double bed here I think?

Ooooh no don't do this to me!! There have been 3 of us researching all week for best deals and thought we'd found it with cityandshow! lol it was £149 for 4 nights from 16th April 2011 (hopefully getting 2% cashback from Quidco too)

I booked on credit card about 3hours ago so should be able to cancel if need be i guess???

I shall check out harrahs now.......

(EDIT - forgot to say that its a Deluxe room at the Imperial Palace i've booked :) )

I've had a deluxe room at the IP-Prices WILL drop-I've paid as little as $20 for midweek nights (last year). There's honestly not much deluxe about them and much nicer rooms in nicer hotels will come up at similar prices closer to the time. If City and Show's cancellation policy offers full refund then nothing lost in rechecking your options closer to the time

Ferf-I'm trying out the Forum Tower next month. I'll post a report. Palace Tower according to my research is very close to the pool but a trek to the Strip so Forum may suit you better now it has been renovated.

Thanks all - I should have said that we've stayed in a Palace Tower room before and really liked it (other than the hike to and from the room). We'd been booked in a Forum Tower room right after the renovations, but got an upgrade at check-in...then realised we spent most of our time in the Forum Casino so that would have been a lot more convenient. Regardless, for us the downside to Caesars is it seems to take forever to get off the property when going somewhere else.

The PT room is really big - so that's a plus for us. Would love to hear what you think on the Forum Tower rooms. From what I could tell they are really nicely renovated, but maybe quite a bit smaller than the Palace Tower rooms...so a bit torn.

Hubby did say 'let's quite fannying about and just book Caesars'...:)

Very much agree...now it's pretty much a wash against Paris Breakfast + PH dinner, which was our intended use for it with anything else being bonus...we weren't sure we wanted to do a breakfast/dinner or dinner/breakfast buffet combo anyway and now I don't think we will.

Try somewhere smaller with more individual service eg Signature, and befriend the reception before you book/before you arrive ie phone them.

I got exactly the room I wanted just from writing on the booking reservation the tower number, the floor number and the view aspect.

The outer double door becomes your "suite door" and the inner doors are left open.

Is there anywhere else that migh compare to this in terms of hotel type/ price that we should consider?

    Thanks in advance! :)

Planning a 4 or 5 night trip for 3 'ladies' to ce;ebrate a 40th. There were going to be 4 of us but now it looks like it will be 3 which makes the room arrangements a bit more challenging!

Have been looking at suites but they all seem to either have a king size and a sofa bed wheras we really want 2 queens and a sofa bed, or are off strip and not part of a casino or really expensive.
So, one option would be to get a larger sized room and ask for a camp bed but I believe they charge per night extra for the bed and it might be a bit cramped. Plus not sure who would get the camp bed!

Have been to Vegas many times with my husband and stayed at MGM and NYNY the last few times so happy with that standard of hotel and location but would consider any other suggestions! We stayed at NYNY in Dec 2007 on our last visit and have spent a lot of time at the casino, restaurants and bars etc there on all our visits which is why it appeals but wondered if it still has the same atmosphere nearly 3 years on. Anyone stayed or been there recently?

Finally(!) flights from London are the same at present for 4 or 5 nights, direct with Virgin £515, with BA £527 and indirect with Continental via Houston £455. Is that about as cheap as its gonna get do you think? Anybody got any beter prices at the 12 week prior to departure point when they supposedly drop??

    Thanks in advance! :)

£455 is a good price this near to departure . would pay the extra £10 to fly with BA if you want direct .

where i would stay is dependant on the deal i could get . beware Caesars classic rooms though .

    loads of comparable hotels .

Mirage , MGM Grand , Paris , Planet Hollywood , TI , Monte Carlo , Mandalay Bay .

if you want a bit more luxury

Wynn/Encore, Venetian, Bellagio , THE HOTEL , Caesars ( providing you book correct room) or new city centre hotels . Wynn has some cracking deals from time to time , and people who have stayed there love it
Better in my pocket than theirs :rotfl:
