Have been looking at suites but they all seem to either have a king size and a sofa bed wheras we really want 2 queens and a sofa bed, or are off strip and not part of a casino or really expensive. So, one option would be to get a larger sized room and ask for a camp bed but I believe they charge per night extra for the bed and it might be a bit cramped. Plus not sure who would get the camp bed!

Another option would be 2 rooms but we'd want these to be adjoining from a feeling safe point of view and so one of us isn't stuck on their own. What are the chances of getting this guaranteed?? Can get 2 rooms at New York New York for $606 in total for 5 nights on an intro promo offer.
Is there anywhere else that migh compare to this in terms of hotel type/ price that we should consider?
As another option The Platinum is a stonking hotel. But it is off strip and not connected to a hotel. 5 minutes walk to Ballys sports book entrance, and best of all almost right next door to Ellis Island BBQ:T You can get a solitaire suite with 2 queens and a sofa bed in the lounge for about $150 per night for all 3 of you. The suites are enormous with full kitchen and balconies. I can not stress enough how nice the place is, never too busy and we have always been upgraded to a Princess suite on arrival without even asking
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

24 hour buffet pass price has risen again. $39.99 for TR members and $45.99 for others. I don't think it's worth bothering with at all now.

Don't think ill be bothering with it now - thanks for the info

Very much agree...now it's pretty much a wash against Paris Breakfast + PH dinner, which was our intended use for it with anything else being bonus...we weren't sure we wanted to do a breakfast/dinner or dinner/breakfast buffet combo anyway and now I don't think we will.

That was my plan - and maybe try somewhere else for late lunch/dinner at some point on it, however Im not fussed for being tied into a set 24hours when the savings arent that great, ill be passing too. Ill just end up having an extra meal for the sake of it if I get it

Taking the kids as were getting married out there. After Vegas were travelling to San Francisco via san diego,LA, and Yoshemite.
I know Vegas isnt really the best place for kids but we thought it would be a good place to get married and have a holiday at the same time. Weve both been to Vegas before, i thought that during the day the kids will love the swimming pool, m amd m world and some rides/circus circus. Noticed there isnt a waterpark any longer. At night go for meals before putting the little ones to bed. Some nites were stay in and then get the grandparents to look after them a couple of nights.
Sometimes i have my reservations but weve booked our flights now. Looking towards MGM as stayed there before but they only cater for one child per room. Excalibur is an option as kid friendlier and cheaper but getting married. May change hotels half way through but this also has its downside as having to pack up again.
Anyone here taken the children to Vegas to get married?

My brothers aged - 8 and 11 came to my wedding, and loved Vegas. There's plenty for kids to do - they had loads of pool time, my sister took them to places like the bodies exibition (they love that type of thing!), lions at MGMs, M&Ms world, rides at NY NY and stratosphere - they had a week in Vegas and I think they preffered it too disney!

My friends came with their 3 year old and their parents (who looked after him a lot), but tbh I think he was a bit too young for it, as too little for most things.

If you're having a few nights in I would look at the MGM Signature - I think the one bed suites come with sofa beds, and they do really good sales, id sign up to their facebook page/for email offers. If you're having nights in you can chill out in the suites living room, watch DVDs etc. I really like the kitchen facility, we had a washing machine too which came in handy. You'll also get access to the main MGM pool which is great for kids. We booked through luxury suites international and I think payed about $300 including resort fee for 2 nights.

Wow, now that was some time ago, it's like saying " I see the Desert Inn is gone":rotfl:
I used to love the water park, another big mistake in the redevelopment of Vegas.
Edit: I see it only closed in 2004, is it really only that short time ago?

There has been some talk for some time that there will be a new one opening (was supposed to be 2009) but their now saying 2012, supposedly the biggest indoor water park in north America (why i needs to be indoor i have no idea).

with the economy as it is, i doubt it tbh!! but we can hope :D

I would def recommend Alize at the palms it was fantastic, we went there last month for our anniversary meal, couldn't fault the food or the service, wasnt cheap but you get what you pay for.

Brilliant! We just booked rooms for October through the host that comped our buffets last trip - but felt completely stupid bothering a host with our level of play...so nice that we'll be able to go in and book ourselves going forward. Thanks for the heads-up!
