Staybridge 2, Desert Rose 4, Springhill Suites 11, La Quinta Summerlin 16.........and then the really orrible hotels like MGM 44, Paris 49, Mandalay Bay 52, PH 61, Aria 62. Not much cred in that list IMHO.

i think it's just that more people stay at the likes of Mandalay Bay , and people with negative reports post more than people who just had a uneventful stay .

anyway it's in post 1 .. with regards to Vegas take a HUGE pinch of salt with Trip advisor ratings .
Better in my pocket than theirs :rotfl:

For guidance on Vegas hotels DONT even look at tripadvisor, ask on here or check out http://www.vegasmessageboard.com/forums/index.php

and either ask or search, there is lots of helpful info on there

hi all, i need some help or advice, looking to go to las vegas in september seen a hol for £1300 flight and hotel the desert rose for 7 nights that's for 2 people , flight with US airways was wondering is this a good deal or should i pay abit more to stay directly on the strip, and what's the airline like???
also want to pay on the credit card and also put my shopping on it, i'm getting really confused as to which card is best for both of these:mad: i don't really want 2 seperate cards, i've read travel and money but my head is spinning,, pls help:)

Price is ok. If you work on £500 each for the flight, thats £300 for hotel or about £43 a night, you could stay for less on the strip at a lower end hotel Imperial palace for example

IMO I would rather stay at IP for a first trip ( I did 12 years ago) than an off strip property.

As for spending Froggit told you which cards you should be using but I really think you should take a deep breath and read the travelmoney sticky again

2 seperate cards is a good idea so that you have back up

    EDIT
a week direct with Desert rose in a 1 bed suite can be got for just under $600, just under £400 (you could maybe get it for less with a bit of searching)

How much can you get flight for?

    Golden Nugget pool looks great

It has three storey water slide that passes through the shark tank, that looks cool to me

i was once looking at hotels before i was staying and the same guy had reviewed loads of hotels and gave them 1 star all written identical reviews too....i reckon there is a lot of industry sabotage from other hotels on TA.

lowcostlasvegas is a sister site to cityandshow.com which several of us on here have used many times with no problem.
The cityandshow prices are usually a little cheaper than the other site

    Thank you for that!

It worked out £3 cheaper lol ....... still cheaper though :j

EDIT - actually it was £17 cheaper!! :):)

    good

cityandshow often have very good deals on the high end hotels in Vegas, I stayed 3 nights at Mandarin Oriental a few weeks back, booked with cityandshow for £220 total, and that included a Fri/Sat night and a cabana.

Hotel was lovely, service great...only downside was Wifi cost $18 for 24hrs
