As a tattoo is forever-I'm guessing you'd check out which places did the stuff you like and who your friends were happy with.......Unless you were having it done by a particular artist whose work you really liked I think you're running the risk of getting a "tourist grade" tattoo as they know you are unlikely to be back/ bring your friends in. I'd say choose your artist as well as your tattoo shop. They may have one person who is brilliant and the rest just so-so or bad .

I've often wondered how much the prices at the various "Ink" tattoo places went up once they got their own TV series's.

Well I have two already so I wouldn't be a tattoo virgin. But you're right - I wouldn't want something crappy just for the sake of having it!

I think the Miami/LA Ink studios charge a hell of a lot and have an insanely long wait list!

In the 20,000 or so posts in this thread and the previous threads, Im not sure I remember anyone flying 5000 miles and staying in the Desert Rose or even visiting the Desert Rose.

    So yes, suggest hotel rethink.

Packages tend to include the cheapest hotel they can package - usually Circus Circus.

    Read post 1.

Use opodo or similar to cost your flights.

Use fatwallet or the deals posted here to get a deal on hotel.

Get Santander Zero, Halifax Clarity, Post Office or Nationwide card for 0% exchange rate loading.

Blimey, like Froggitt, not heard of Desert Rose but it's #4 of 287 hotels on Trip Advisor!
    http://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/Hotel_Review-g45963-d217598-Reviews-Desert_Rose_Resort-Las_Vegas_Nevada.html

(admittedly, never been there, and not even sure where it is!)...

£650 sounds good though if you don't mind being off-strip!... suppose it depends exactly what you're looking for from a hotel tho :)
