Septemberthanks, now I have gotten nothing done this afternoon because I have been playing online pai gow pokerThe common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.0

Looks like you can get rate of $55 for early September, might be even cheaper for other dates. Book 3 nights and get 2 free Lion King or Ka tickets. I think you have to pay in full upfront, but this could be a good deal for some of you?
Looks a good deal.Prices are same as cheapest deals out there.
But only certain tickets available for each show and not gteed. No way to see what is avaiable until after you have booked
T and C
Guest must check into the hotel prior to redeeming show tickets. Guest must STAY and PAY for a full 3 nights to qualify for the tickets, should a guest check out early, the reservation is non refundable for the 3 nights and guest must be charged. Tickets are not available for all price categories at all performances. Limited seating is available for select performances0 -
well the Ash cloud put paid to my carefully planned LV trip in April:mad:
I am now starting to look into a mid October trip and was thinking of booking the hotels now and change when/If better offers appear but I am finding out that the room rates are higher than were for April? Is this normal or am I too early? As an example my Bally's midweek rate for April was around £35/night and for October £53
It may be a little early, it may be that there is something big on in Vegas for the time you are looking at. Did you mean $35 as that seems a lot for Ballys or is it just the exchange rate is worse.
Keep looking at all the discount links and poss be flexible on weeks0 -
credit_crunch wrote: »got an email from expedia asking me to ring to discuss my flights - on the phone now and it turns out my flight on the wednesday (not until November) with BA has been cancelled due to the strikes!!! !!!!!!?!!!!!
so i still fly to london on the wednesday but dont fly to vegas until thursday afternoonthe very very helpful lady is off checking to see if there are any other options as i have my hotels booked!!! booked direct with mgm for 1st 3 nights so that wont be a problem changing but booked encore through travel republic so might have a bit of bother ammending that one!
i feel like a big goof - sitting here holding with expedia and fighting back the tears! im so annoyed but fingers crossed it all works out ok for me.....:(
so just off the phonehave to ring back on tuesday so that expedia can ring BA and see if they can put us on another flight even with another airline
see if all this is because of the staff striking! grr it makes me so angry! it is their choice to work for that airline and im pretty sure there are getting paid more then min wage! if they dont like it then leave and go work elsewhere!!!!
Have you checked on BA website for the day you are supposed to fly and then searched for a flight from Dublin that fits in.
If you tell them what you come up with they may sort it, does seem odd to blame the strikes as there is no way they can know that0 -
October , NovemberYou stick with it girl. They are shooting you a load of bull !! BA are not closed today, what are they on!! I have just been on the phone to the reservation line. Send them an email and demand that a manager gets back to you, tell them that you want everything in writting from now on in case you have to take them to court, that will shake them up. As everyone else has said, this is nothing to do with the BA strike, and they don't have winter and summer schedules. These agent companies make me so mad, it it the single reason that I never book with them, even if they were cheaper.
any ideas what i should say in my email to BA? Do I also have to email Expedia and explain what I'm doing?0 -

I cant see that its BA's fault, the fact that your BMI flight is now leaving 2 hours later from Dublin than originally scheduled meaning you arrive at Heathrow too late to board the BA flight
As there is only one BA flight a day to Vegas surely it makes more sense to try to get you into Heathrow earlier from Dublin to make the LAS flight for that day0 -
Juneit seems to be a very busy Memorial holiday weekend here in Vegas, the Strip was packed last night.
and temperature forecast to go around 104f by the end of the week0 -
October , Novemberturns out expedia woman yesterday didnt have a clue what she was talking about! rang BA and they said there is little they can do seeing as i booked through a 3rd party - but adv me that it was my bmi flight that was cancelled and perhaps expedia just didnt want me to fly BA! random!!
any ways phoned expedia back and the lady could not understand why the lady yesterday had told me so much guff! but hey ho - all sorted now so leave dub after 8am, arrive heathrow near 10am - leaving plenty of time to get to terminal 5 for 15:35!!
ok so im back to being excited! and utterly relieved!! is the BA lounge worth paying for at Heathrow? or do they even have one? or is there a better one to spend time in? anything to keep me away from the shops lol!!
thanks to all who offered advice! you are legends! xo0 -

It depends on specific dates - a big convention, sporting event, holiday, etc. can have a massive impact on rates too. Or it may just be that the best deals aren't out yet.
For Vegas especially we always check hotel rates before booking flights because they can vary so much. Even hotel to hotel - if you have a massive convention that's being held at say Mandalay Bay, the rates down that end of the strip may be much higher than expected, but mid-strip might be more reasonable...it just depends on so many factors.
Sometimes what we do is to go to something like the Harrah's website, go to the Hot Deals page and look at the full month calendar - you can normally pick out quite quickly where something is going on based on the rates for various weeks/parts of weeks.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0
