October , Novembergot an email from expedia asking me to ring to discuss my flights - on the phone now and it turns out my flight on the wednesday (not until November) with BA has been cancelled due to the strikes!!! !!!!!!?!!!!!
so i still fly to london on the wednesday but dont fly to vegas until thursday afternoonthe very very helpful lady is off checking to see if there are any other options as i have my hotels booked!!! booked direct with mgm for 1st 3 nights so that wont be a problem changing but booked encore through travel republic so might have a bit of bother ammending that one!
i feel like a big goof - sitting here holding with expedia and fighting back the tears! im so annoyed but fingers crossed it all works out ok for me.....:(
so just off the phonehave to ring back on tuesday so that expedia can ring BA and see if they can put us on another flight even with another airline
see if all this is because of the staff striking! grr it makes me so angry! it is their choice to work for that airline and im pretty sure there are getting paid more then min wage! if they dont like it then leave and go work elsewhere!!!!0 -

I think they're coming the bag. No way are flights in November cancelled because of the strikes. The strikes dates have only been annouced till beginning of June.
Tell her you want to check the BA website as that is where the official notice comes from.0 -

The BA strikes are only for the next 2 weeks at the moment
it could be that the winter schedule flight departure time has changed so wont be enough time to make your connection from Dublin on that day
did your flight from Dublin change to a later time...what time does it arrive as looks like the BA flights in November leave Heathrow at 15.35 on the winter timetable0 -
October , Novemberyeah the dub flight was originally 11am but it changed to 1300 or there abouts meaning we arrive in heathrow at 1500 to catch the 1535 flight to vegas!
she asked me to ring back on tue ad BA are closed over the wkend and on mon cuz of the bank holiday.
im not goin to take any guff! the fat that they offered a partial refund for the outward leg sickens me - i only paid £374 for return flights from dub so the refund prob wouldnt even cover a flight from NI to England!
i will update once i know a bit more! so bloody annoying!!!0 -

Looks like you can get rate of $55 for early September, might be even cheaper for other dates. Book 3 nights and get 2 free Lion King or Ka tickets. I think you have to pay in full upfront, but this could be a good deal for some of you?0 -

is there not an earlier flight you could get from Dublin to Heathrow.... I think theres BMI one at 8.30am0 -
SeptemberHmmm, I'm pondering on cancelling our Aria reservation now. We're at Encore for 5 nights on the second half of our stay, so I wanted something that was mid strip and modern; hence why I picked Aria. Our rates are $122 a night (inclusive of all taxes), but the more I hear about the place, the worse the reviews get!
Bellagio deals seem to be few and far between at the moment; we're staying in Sept so I'd hope that the offers would start coming up.0 -

we booked it as one flight deal through expedia - the dub flight was 11am and thats the one they originally changed.
so when i phoned 2day i was shock to hear the the real reason was the LV flight was cancelled and the best they could do was put us on a flight the day after (thur) but i dont really think this is good enough tbh! it means our trip will only be 6 days and that doesnt even take into account time of day we arrive and how tired/jet lagged we will be! maybe its a sign im not meant to go!!!0 -

If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.0 -
Aprilwell the Ash cloud put paid to my carefully planned LV trip in April:mad:
I am now starting to look into a mid October trip and was thinking of booking the hotels now and change when/If better offers appear but I am finding out that the room rates are higher than were for April? Is this normal or am I too early? As an example my Bally's midweek rate for April was around £35/night and for October £530
