OMG, I haven't had a PBR since I was a poor college student (next to Old Milwaukee it was always the favorite because it was so cheap). :)

Well the week is going down the pan at the moment regards craps. not one winning night yet. We are spending our days at the Encore pool, we have an old room key and just flash that to security, they never put it through the scanner.
Tracy has come down with a bad case of dehydration. She has been really sick today and we are back at the hotel with her in bed by 11am.
Went to Encore and Wynn last night and got stung on the machines, their odds really stink. I mean we must have played 10 michines of V/P, woolfrun, Goldfish reel them in, and got burned on every one. Craps went belly up (lost $100 in less than 5 minutes) so decided to play a bit of B/J to get some money back but couldn't find a table with less than $25 minimum so we have decided to not bother going back there anymore. Played at M Resort on Friday and really like the place. $5 craps and B/J, plenty of 1 cent VP and slots. Drinks girls are all over you so will be doing the 15 minute drive out there for most of the stay.
Blowing Planet Ho out from now on as well, they have a lot of empty space on the casino floor as they have removed all 1 cent slot machines. According to one of the pit bosses I know they pay tax on each machine and are pulling out all the stops to cut costs. Went to Aria and I must say City Centre is a real mess, what were they thinking putting the only casino right at the back of the complex, you could get lost trying to find it. Aria has loads of 1 cent machines, but the problem is that the minimum bet is usually 40 lines x 1 credit, so really it's a 40 cent machine. Ate at MAG on Friday and even though we got there at 6pm, we had a 2 hour wait to sit on the patio. Our waiter was really bad, he was more interested in the table a couple away from us with 3 young pretties on it, in the 1 1/2 hours we were there I only managed to get 2 glasses of wine (once I had to get up and go and ask!!) and Tracy never got her coffee, so for the first time ever I left no tip at all, and walked out real slow really wanting him to say something.

Hope Tracy is feeling better soon. Dehydration is horrible -didn't think it'd be hot enough for that yet though so hope that is all it is

Wierd about Planet Hollywood pulling the 1 cent machines as all the other Harrah hotels all seem to have scads of them. Sounds like they aren't sure what niche market they are looking for with it and where it fits into the Harrahs portfolio. Shame-they've had long enough to think about it.

    About weddings
I can't be the only one whose head swims at the absurdity of some of the ideas and prices on the weddings threads can I ?

I guess my idea of moneysaving and theirs is a bit different.......but then to some MSE-ers Vegas isn't MSE either I suppose ! :)

On the subject of moneysaving -has anyone else looked at flying out of a European airport. I found a high season flight for £200+ cheaper than the cheapest indirect from London-ironically it routes through London too (handy on the way back). I'm not giving the route away until I've booked (roll on payday) but for anyone going Oct/Nov who can fly cheaply to Frankfurt check out AA's flights to LAS and LAX for a similar offer. I'm thinking this might be a really good deal for those who need to fly down to London from a regional airport but could equally fly to Frankfurt.

There were still loads of 1c machines at PH on Friday as I was playing them! If there are none now, they must have moved them out Saturday and Sunday....

Sorry should have qualified. There are no longer any 1 or 5 cent V/P machines. Also they have taken out about 100 machines in total so I was told. There is now a big empty space near Earl of Sandwich and P.F.Changs.
As for the dehydration it was 90 on Saturday and 94 on Sunday. It is now the morning and we have been to Spring Mountain hospital during the night as she has felt like this before and thought it might be a kidney infection. They confirmed this and after a drip of antibiotics and glucose we are back in the room now and T is as right as rain. They presented us with a copy of the bill for $1,645 which our insurance has confirmed to sort out straight with the hospital

I would go ahead and book the Carriage House now if you are considering it. If you book over the phone they don't even take a deposit so you have absolutely nothing to lose.

OH says it was his favourite hotel of the holiday and we stayed at the Encore, Bally's NT, Aria, MGM Celebrity Spa Suite and Carriage House. It is just so convenient. 5 mins to Miracle Mile, 10 mins to the strip, the pool is 2 mins from your room.

All those times are from the room. In a lot of hotels, such as the MGM, it can take 10-15 mins just to get to the front of the hotel.

The pool isn't great, but it depends what you are looking for in a pool. I don't do sunbathing, but OH does and he doesn't actually go in the pool so it doesn't really matter. You get the same sun whichever pool you're at.

    Oh Luci you temptress you!

Just called the Carriage house and booked 7 nights. It was actually a bit cheaper than booking on line and came out just short of $420 all in for 7 nights for the 4 of us :D

That's us sorted - flights, car and somewhere to sleep - can't wait.

Just need that ruddy volcano to calm down, come to that I'm off to Dallas next Monday, so hope that's Ok too!

Thanks so much for the advice, I wouldn't have even known about that place without you.:A
